Nah, closer inspection makes it sometimes look raised, and then coated or shellacked. It makes me curious about the process in general. It must go deeper into the plastic than typical paint, sort of like a tattoo, for it to be so hard to remove.
Yep.. I've been trying to track down a bottle of the old formula but haven't had much luck.Whoa, really.
Mystique is one of the last ones on my must have list. Her and Rachel Phoenix (who SURELY will be teased soon, surely!). Once I've got them I'm basically out of ML unless I just decide I want to be a completionist, and even then I'd only try to grab the major X-villains I don't have (Apocalypse, Stryfe, Omega Red, and a smattering of Brotherhood folks I don't have).![]()
I really am getting excited for this updated Mystique! I know she’s practically identical to the Walgreens version, but updated paint apps, double elbows, and pinless has me stoked. Plus better face printing will make her stand out with all of you new brotherhood members we’ve gotten recently. Definitely wondering how the VHS head/hair looks on her as well

I'm betting SDCC.Rachel Phoenix (who SURELY will be teased soon, surely!)
That's sure what I'm hoping.Ugh. I might go in for Mystique even though the Walgreens version is almost as good. A little consumerism will make me feel better, right?
I'm betting SDCC.
I am morally obliged to once again grumble about them remaking a female figure without including proper torso articulation. So, grumble grumble grumble.
I picked up Skaar on sale a while back too and he is just a ridiculously fun figure. I like posing him with Mythic Legions.I got Skaar and Hulkbuster Iron Man today. I know they are a bit older, but I had always passed on them. Then they went on sale during Hasbro Pulse Days, and I grabbed them. I'm really glad I did. Hulkbuster is such a big, bulky toy and is a lot of fun. And I'm happy to have him to square off against my Hulk figures.
Skaar is excellent though. Such great, realistic head sculpts. And all the details, colors, and paint apps, makes this figure beautiful. He looks like he belongs in a Sword and Sorcery line almost.
