General Marvel Legends

Well, it finally happened. I ordered Husk on Amazon and got a bunch of random figure body parts in the re-taped package. Maybe remnants of several pieces of her ripped off skin?
Back to Amazon it goes and I'll get a refund.
So irritating.
Hopefully this doesn't happen very often and it is curtailled by people noticing in the reurns department. It hasn't happened to me yet. Anybody else have this happen to you?

(somewhat) surprised this happened with a clear window box. At least without a slightly convincing figure in its place

With the "Husk" I got yesterday, the interior yellow backing cardboard was placed in the box blocking the window box. When I opened the shipping box I knew immediately it had been tampered with even before I opened the figure box because the window box was blocked.
Lame.
I returned it and let them know what was going on.
I re-ordered Husk and she arrived today. She looks great!

Yeah, I've had swaps come from Amazon with figures and other products. Returns doesn't really care. They do run a scale and sometimes X-Ray, but for something like this it's small potatoes and they have a quota. Laptop, yes, plastic man, no.

Browse some Amazon reddits and you'll find employees sharing their end daily.

Picked up Savage Land Xavier on clearance the other day and the lipstick approach is bothering me more and more as I look at him. Anyone try removing it and have pics of how it looks without? I can’t tell if his face is shaded all around the area and if I’d just make it look worse. Maybe I should just embrace this more androgynous Chuck?

Not only does it not bother me - it looks way better! Dudes have lips that are not the same color as their skintone. The lack of lips on older figures now stands out way more. Chuck's have never stood out to me - I can't see past his extremely thick eyebrows.

I bounce between indifference and disliking it. I think we all know real people have different colored lips vs the rest of their skin, but comic book men tend to not.

As a man who, at one time, used to paint the mens lips so their entire face wasn't 1 color, I love having the faceprint add that. It's more natural and realistic looking. I think they would look off without it, now that the eyes and eyebrows are so well done with the face print.

As a man who frequently wears lipstick, on top of a full face of makeup and lashes, I would love it if all it took was a nude neutral lip to be considered androgynous.

That is certainly a take.
I prefer my plastic comic book people to resemble the artwork they’re drawn from. I don’t particularly like the attempts at realism by Hasbro and other companies. It’s cool if that’s not your preference.

I think hasbro is a little heavy handed with it sometimes, but i mostly don't mind it.
