I wonder how much those lenticular inserts cost. Heard a rumor that holograms weren't cost effective anymore. Both of which seem weird considering they were cost effective 40 years ago.

We're really going to sit here and believe that things that were included in/on cereal boxes as freebies 40 years ago are somehow cost prohibitive in a line where the average/subpar figure costs nearly $30? We must be drinking from the same punchbowl that says that another set of the same single color plastic hands they've been giving us for 10+ yrs is cost prohibitive.

"It might take a sliver out of our grandiose Mr. Potter-style expectations on profit margins," is the more accurate statement. Along with "I'd like to give you nothing in some windowless packaging if I could get away with it, but we're going to have to wait another couple years before we try that one again."

I'm with Resilient. I was a very successful track competitor almost all of my school days (still run today) and I never ran with fists or flat hands. Always seemed like just a waste of energy not having the hands in a natural "C-grip." The idea being all of your muscles that aren't being used for a specific momentary purpose should be relaxed to focus on the prime movers and in my mind Pietro would know that.

That said, a flat hand at Quickies speed should be great for slicing objects (like buttah) as opposed to demolishing them on impact in our imaginary, comic-book science when using a fist. So, for me, C-grip should be standard--after all he does often carry objects as well--and either other hand type should be secondary.

Glad someone with more expertise than me can weigh in on it. I just try to get out a few times a week run a few miles around the neighborhood.

I would say obviously not what they intended, yes.

Their intention was replicating the deco of the original Secret Wars figure.

Its not just the lenticular pong in the thing but the shield piece too and prob little children's hands putting them together by the 1000s. That collected cost times six figures might have meant a clear Redwing butt plug, one extra Constrictor, and Magik hand and steel Crusher Creel pack in arm. I don't know. All these assets basically exist already. Not like they needed a new sculpt.

Don't know if this was brought up already but did anyone notice, on Onslaught's card back we have the typical X-Men faces on the top left corner and this time we have him, Emma in her diamond for and what looks to be Cannonbal and Doug in their New Mutants hairstyles.

Can't wait to see them revealed.

Yep, that was on Emma's card earlier with Onslaught. So those are basically confirmed. I assume we'll either see one of them at Toyfair or by the next livestream.
