I believe it was canon, specifically for the (yes, superior, let’s get it NOW) black “return” dress uniform that he wore heavy body/head armor underneath and was essentially in “battle armor”. But yeah, CC isn’t exactly a “lead from the front” type. At all.
 
I don't remember that being the case (I don't remember much about the lore from those days, to be honest) but it makes sense and fits his character. Not because CC would care about fighting from the front lines, but because he's a deranged coward that would feel he needs to be armoured even when he's 20km from any legitimate danger.
 
I guess I should update my wishlist:
  1. Spearhead and Max (This goes without saying
  2. Airtight
  3. Scoop
  4. Muskrat
  5. Flash
  6. Voltar
  7. Zanzibar
  8. Interrogator
  9. TARGAT
  10. Fast Draw
Focus on unmade characters. Other CCs, Serpentor, Destro (IG!) all should be on the top ten list but I'd rather see new characters first.
 
Also a solid list. Spearhead and Max is definitely on my short list right now. Voltar probably is too. I still have his accessories but somehow my actual vintage figure of him disappeared, which makes me sad. He looks cool as shit.
 
I feel like they'd knock a ridiculous character like Voltar out of the park. they made me like Darklon, and I'm already inclined to like whatever they do with Voltar. (Same thing with Zanzibar, I feel like he'd just be ridiculous, in a good way.)

Okay.. actually.. that was way harder than I thought. I didn't realize how many Joes I still want until I really sat down to dwell on it. I basically trimmed two more top ten lists off my list to get here. I even surprised myself as Destro v2 just couldn't break my top ten. I also want it noted for the record that I showed exceptional restraint in not making v3 Storm Shadow all ten slots.
 
Yeah, TARGAT would probably be in the same price range as the cereal box guy. Sky... dude? Skyguy? I don't know. Whatever the fuck his name was.
