G.I. Joe Classified Series

Man, almost all the rest of the list is bonus round for me. I think I've only got maybe five or six characters I'm IMPATIENT for, like hurry gimme NOW, and then there's a secondary list of sure sounds cool show me what you got, Lenny and team.

yeah, I probably have 6 or 7 I absolutely need before the line ends, but I have several dozen I would like them to get to. Mostly ladies, Hasbro.

Shots fired but I think Transformers fans are the most obnoxious. God forbid you like something that isn't the most faithful design to G1. Combiner Wars was great but panned by fans for having battle damage paint apps. Whatever, enjoy your cheaply-made G1 remakes every three years. I see @TENIME ranted about it already!
Based on the responses to my post, I simply underestimated how much every single part of the toy community fucking sucks. Haha.

Someone said mean things about Ice Cream Soldier.

I will stab a bitch.

I've been trying to be ruder
You're doing a great job, Norm. We believe in you!

Way too hard to pick just a top 3:

Overkill—redo his original figure with the swappable weapon hands and the 50-cal double barrel machine gun in his chest

Annihilator- with his mini-helicopter backpack. He actually made it onto the local news in the 1980s on a segment about whether or not toys were getting too violent!

Crimson Guard Commander (Battle Corps)— such a great heavily armored design. He had a thick snake themed chest plate and mini-missiles on his gauntlet like Boba Fett.

Interrogator—just love that helmet!

TARGAT—need the Rocket backpack

Incinerator—need his flaming catapult

Laser-Viper

Astro-Viper

Oh man…I cannot stop with the vipers. I need them all.

All of these are absolute MUSTS.
Incredibly cool designs/characters that would all be amazing in Classified.
Interrogator is totally Top 5.

Agreed.
Interrogator is totally Top 5.
I never had him but definitely want him now, regular or plague flavor. Or, if they add a different head to him, both versions?

I'm into the other Overkill too, the one that looks closer to a Cobra trooper but is the SAW Viper who killed several Joes.

THAT was the final straw?

Well... I can't ignore that obviously.

Awesome! That should be interesting at this scale.

Yes, do all the vipers.

THAT was the final straw?
It was the name, oddly.
“Annihilator” they felt was inherently violent.
Meh. Just pearls-clutching “won’t someone think of the children” Gingrich-era fear-mongering. Good thing we left all that behind . . .

And I want my Interrogator strictly 90s ARAH. One of the best Cobra designs in the entire line, and also a very important person in the Cobra hierarchy. I’d consider Interrogator more “necessary” to Cobra than a lot of more famous Cobra operators. He’s also arguably the scariest Cobra.

How do you feel about Overlord?
I love him, and want him in his ARAH look posthaste, but I don’t need the Dictator, nor do I need Interrogator’s personal chopper.

And thank God those people didn't see the Cobra La set.
Ehh, those were probably just colorful monsters to “them”. “They” tend to get more torqued about easy buzzwords (“ANNIHILATOR”?!?!?) and stuff they can frame as “demonic” or whatever. If anything, Cobra-La at the time was a decidedly sci-fi, *non*-“demonic” band of monster-guys, at least as toys. Took them five more years or so to get an actual zombie into the line, and even then they totally hedged it. I’m incredibly glad that Classified is unapologetically leaning into the supernatural these days. I always saw ARAH as a “catch-all” line where you could get pretty much any “type” of character.

Yeah, no vehicles for them please, but I'm definitely open to figures of them.

And also yeah, Classified is definitely covering a lot of ground. I would just like some more Marvel characters now and then.

Marvel characters

Yes!
-“casual” Serpentor
Is that the bare chested one? He would fit right in.
-Doctor Venom
Absolutely. Spiced up a little.
I was just looking into her this morning! She had a more armored Cobra uniform in Devil's Due as well I think.
-Dr. Biggles-Jones (hee hee I love that name)
So Pythonesque. Which works for Cobra!
-Professor Appel
Talk about body shape diversity.
-Cool Breeze
#justiceforcoolbreeze
-COBRA COMMANDER IN DRRSS UNIFORM (both original and “return” black outfit, BOTH WITH HOOD)
Fawk, yes, please, God, yes, please yes!
-Fred VII
I would really appreciate some Fred's, along with Wade Collins.
-Red Ninjas
Yes, including their master before he was Firefly.
-Hard Master
-Soft Master
-Blind Master
Absolutely necessary, though I've never allowed mysef to dream...
-SILENT INTERLUDE SNAKE-EYES

Oof I could go on and on.
Scarface.

Good Grodd, I missed the most obvious one!!!!

Once again: deluxe comic-style Cobra Trooper/Officer!!! Yellow/tan web gear, one (or two) generic red-mask trooper heads, trooper helmet, officer helmet, and of course Scarface head. Throw in an Air Trooper helmet and repainted jet pack, and make it a meal!!

I'm seriously of two minds for Scarface. On one hand, yes, go full on comic accurate like that, but I could also see them leaning more into "courier who can blend in" more than "almost a standard trooper". But I would be happy either way really. Nothing I have come up with for customs has ever really satisfied me so I think he is someone I just need Hasbro to step in and make a ruling.
