Fricken Budo got pushed back to December 1 but Desert Scrorpion was just moved up to being delivered YESTERDAY so there's that.

Monkeywrench was they mystery package. Yes. He is as good as everyone says he is.

Just received Slice and Dice and the retro Televiper from Pulse and Amazon respectively. Will wait to open the Tele til I get the second one I ordered tomorrow so I can compare cards.

I have zero connection to Slice and Dice. If they were in Ru’s Beamish list, I’d probably have passed, with the disclaimer that I’d probably buy them if they were made.

They are cool, but definitely a bit over the top design wise. What bugs me most is that there isn’t a place to stow all of their weapons on their person. I love the load out they come with. But I love it even more if there’s enough weapon storage. As is, they’re a bit disappointing in that regard.

Yeah, the content of the “shipping update” emails would have me believe that Budo shipped on the 19th and Desert Scorpion yesterday, which is . . . not the case.

Did just get “shipping soon” notices from
BBTS for Sarge/Mercer and Hawk/MMS.

I wish one of the sites would send out the pre-shipping notice for Sci-Fi/Wetsuit/Mainframe. Those were the three I ordered from Amazon but had the shipping date of late next year so I preordered on Pulse too and I now don't trust either of them with accurate shipping dates, otherwise I'd have canceled one of the orders already.

You may want to start invoicing her for all this painting. At least reenact an adult film or something. "I guess it's time to pop that paint can open again, if you know what I mean."
That's the thing, she won't let me paint. One spot on the ceiling 17 years ago means no more painting for me, but you bring OCD into the conversation than apparently I'm calling her crazy!

Hey I'm over here trying to make lemonade out of a lemon :ROFLMAO:

Also, I'm gonna be "that guy" and say if you want more Ninja Force, buy the two-pack!
More like lemonade out of my misery. Miserade. You made miserade and it tastes like sadness.

I think I'm the only collector that doesn't get worked up about weapon storage on my figures. The obvious stuff should be there - sidearm and knife sheath, I suppose. But when it gets to the point of them having to invent wacky, unrealistic storage ideas just so everything sticks on the figure? I actively tend to dislike that.

I don't get upset about it but I do notice when this line in particular doesn't have storage for all the gear just because damned near EVERY figure those first few years could store, in a logical way, all their gear on their person, so I'm caught off-guard when they don't automatically do it. It never looked ridiculous and that always impressed the hell out of me. These days I'm happy if every figure has a knife sheath and holster for a sidearm, though, I do miss the holster (holster?) modern Flint has for his shotgun on Retro Flint even though no holster is accurate.

I would love it if some of the longarms came with straps, but that would add a huge cost or be useless/ugly, depending on how they did it. So it is what it is.

I would say most figures in this line should be able to stow everything except their primary weapon (I was never a fan of like rifles stuck on to the sides of backpacks, generally). But there's exceptions. Something like the Action Soldier, for example - just comes with TOO MUCH stuff for any reasonable person to get pissed off that he can't carry it all at once. He'd look absurd even if he could.

V4 Snake Eyes is another good example. They made him able to stow all of his stuff, but it's awful and everyone hates it. So what was the point?

Dice's axes are a little big to store on his body. They could go on his back, but I'm not sure if they could have fit all three of his weapons on his body. Maybe a backpack holster? I'll probably look into looping a tiny black rubber band on his back straps to hold the halberd, that seems like an easy fix. Slice has enough weapon storage, assuming you just give him two weapons total. I have him with one of each like the classic figure.

(Reminds me, do you think this butterfly knife that comes with Slice will be reused on Snake Eyes v3? If you hold it up to Slice's chest, it looks about the right size)

Personally I'm more annoyed at how Dice has trouble holding his weapons. They need to make the gripped sections a little thicker to fit these trigger finger hands. It's always a balancing act right now and the horizontal wrist hinges aren't helping.

I'm not too mad though, they're both Top 10s of the year for me, Slice is easily a Top 5, maybe favorite of the year, we'll see.

I just got a shipping notice for the Cobra S.N.A.K.E.. I have been so busy I have fallen way behind on these boards so I don’t know if that is old news (I tried searching back in the thread but it was like shifting through a forest of dicks so I gave up). I am so used to getting my Hasbro orders months after the figures arrive everywhere else that I didn’t realize this was shipping. Granted being a Pulse exclusive is probably the only reason I am not getting this months late.

Not old news - I haven't gotten shipping notification yet but I got a paypal charge for what I THINK is the price of the Snake so I assume it's shipping soon.
