I miss the 24-hour Walmarts so much. Haven't found more than a minute of alone time in the action figure isle since one of the stores near me announced it was closing. The only Walmart left is always packed, and they now have the Hot Wheels and action figures down the same cramped isle. Last time I was there, there were two families, one family was pushing two strollers and shouting to eachother even while I walked past. The Hot Wheels guys are hilarious. I'm always looking at the Monster Trucks and about half the time after I'm done they *instantly* move over and rifle through them too. Bitch, you don't collect these, they're not rare, get outta here.

They also never stock the Walmart exclusives, which is kind of the only real reason to go there. 😭. It's a busy suburban area with lots of money, lots of toy buyers, I really don't get it. STUPID! Sorry for the rant. GI Joes are cool.

Yeah, Covid killed all the 24-hour stores around me. The only stores open 24/7 around here now are 7-Elevens and one single Walgreens in downtown Buffalo.

I used to find so much great stuff at like 2 a.m. in Walmart. The fact that there was like three other customers in the store at the time was just icing on the cake.

Of course that was when Walmart actually got stuff ... The store near me has had the aisle display up about a week now and it is picked clean except for a few pegs of Joe firefighters and Transformers Constructicons on one side and some Hot Wheels and a couple MOTU figures on the other.

Everything was 24-hour when I left the US and moved to Canada. But Canada basically never had any 24-hour stores. It was wild when I moved here and grabbed the keys at like 11pm, telling my girlfriend at the time that I was gonna go grab a cake. Because I like cake. She was like 'what the fuck do you mean you're gonna get a cake?' After a few seconds of back-and-forth, it was in that moment that I learned Canada did not have 24-hour grocery stores. I was fucking livid.

That's how I was when I visited my cousins in Virginia and around 10 or so I suggested we go to the grocery store to get more alcohol. California has spoiled me.
