G.I. Joe Classified Series

For a while, Classified army builders were getting pretty cheap. I went overboard troop building, and now they're all in storage because I'd prefer to display unique individual characters now that they've made so many. While I can get behind people wanting army building sets, I would not could not buy into that myself.

I wish they would do weapons or animal packs on Pulse for GI Joe Classifieds. I also wish, much like they do for Star Wars where they sell the army builders in less packaging for a cheaper price (like the Clone and Battle Droid pack,or Stormtrooper and Rebel Soldier pack) they'd do that for GI Joe.

Either a good guy/bad guy builder set for $39.99 like a Viper and a Steel Brigade, or a GI Joe Trooper and a Cobra Trooper.

Or just do 2 packs where both figures in the pack are the same. Like 2 Range Vipers, or 2 Crimson Guards.

Help me army build Hasbro.
I don't want to do like.. a lot.. of army building. But I like to do a little. A two-pack of Joe and Cobra trooper on that same body but in different colors would really appeal to me, because I could grab like two or three and be done completely. And yeah, I'd be even more down for just a two-pack of Cobra Troopers, but I want them to just be blue versions of the upcoming Greenshirt figure. I kind of hate the current Cobra Trooper -as- a regular trooper, because of the shin and forearm armor and generally more advanced look to his uniform.

I love that we've basically proven "Hasbro, here's a very straightforward idea and we will throw SO MUCH MONEY AT YOU." Just re-do the stuff they did when we were kids. Give us a few walls and a sandbag, we're thrilled. Weapon pack with no figure, just reprint the weapons that fell off the display we want to replace!

I'd buy the playsets without pack-in figures.
I straight up would buy two more of the outpost that just came out if it was just the base and didn't have the figure - I'm not up for army building at the moment but I would love to use this to build a little fort.

Unfortunately, most toy companies are still run by people that don't give a shit about toys, and certainly by people that may know one or two of their brands, but not really all of them. So someone like Lenny has to convince someone that doesn't even know what G.I. Joe is that any of this is a good idea.

Some 3D printed Joe headquarters things I saw:

I had to jump on that BBTS sale on the Crimson BAT. I love BATS, and that’s one of the nicest ones.

I concur, I'd go so far as to say my favorite BAT! He looks really sharp with the extra head and armor from the Arctic BAT.

I mean... I just want the figure and not the diorama piece, so if you ordered a second one you could off load the figure easily. Heck... if you bought two I'd buy both of the toopers

Add me to the list of people thinking Justice for Crystal Ball. Just got him! Amazing figure. Literally stopped working to open him on the spot. (Only Classified, right? Every other line can wait til after work for me but these guys)... I love when a figure tells a story, and Crystal Ball tells a story told by a guy on ayahuasca who thinks he's Alistair Crowley and I love it.

I legit yell NORM every time you post after me. Okay most of the time it's internal and not out loud, but it happens.

I mentioned on other social media that the only place online that I'm finding actual irony-free joy these days is an old school action figure message board and yeah, given the nostalgic reaction folks had to that idea, I think a lot of people are longing for the days when forums were king. Everquest RP server message board, a site that was just for Heroclix nerds, and nerdy baseball statistician forums were my main hangs back in those days of dial up and it's been all downhill from here. This place is a fucking HAVEN in the storm.
You get genuine experience and expertise on long-term niche message boards, which is nice. Whenever I look at how a topic I like is being discussed on broader social media, I'm blown away by how little most people seem to know about the things they like. I'm convinced you have to hang out in a dusty forum for years with other weirdos to really learn things. When you let a forum type like one of us out into the wild, you get Menswear Guy on Twitter, someone who actually knows things enough that it kind of warps the platform.

Also, I miss Myspace. Let me say that. Non-algorithmic social media was fun. I was a super early Facebook user and I regret it so much now. I could've just been agonizing over what bands should be in my top 8 friends the past 20 years instead.

I wish to hell they'd reissue the Arctic BAT, I don't army build at all but I had plans for two of those goobers. I have one, but two would be even more better.
