G.I. Joe Classified Series

Definitely known collector status bruv.
I don't know how to feel about a collecting documentary, because unless it's filmed from a very specific enthusiast angle, you're either going to end up as person with entirely too much disposable income or cautionary tale.

Talking about the mobile command center in the CAT thread and with the arrival of the Cobra Battle Outhouse I got to thinking - do you think classified would ever be motivated to, sort of how you can connect multiple outhouses, they'd ever be motivated to sort of do a build-a-base? Like just keep releasing components with one figure that all interconnect? Like I could see with a few sets this size being able to build out the old 1983 Headquarters/Command Center or Cobra Missile Command Headquarters.

Alternately, I'd love to see them re-release stuff in Classified size like the Watchtower, Machine Gun or Mortar Defense Units... the Checkpoint, Cobra Battle Bunker, all of them seem like they could fit in a box with one supporting figure and then include the little connector pegs to attach them together, too.

I was thinking that actually. Did TVC do Jabba Palace components or something? It would make a lot of sense to me anyway, but I prefer the look of the MCC to the classic HQ.

Yeah those seem like natural releases now.

A Jabba's palace thing was EXACTLY what I was thinking. It feels like a very 80s toy thing to do and this line is so dedicated to that vibe.

Hahaha those are my responses!

I've been championing a build a base concept for a while now. As well as weapons which could attach to vehicles and playsets, which is something I was proposing back in the 3.75" days. Figures come with larger deluxe weapons or accessories which could attach to vehicle and playsets. Heavy weapons, radar dishes..etc.

Regarding Classified. Something a bit more ambitious than the Perimeter box. A flat, with detailing, wall, floor and two side walls. Multiples could be attached side by side. Maybe even stacked. Troop builder packed in. You could either have some accessories packed in, like gun racks or computer consoles and have different themed playsets (such as the communication room, armory, etc). OR release those accessories with figures as deluxe offerings. IE communication console and radar dish comes with Televiper. Not sure what is the best approach.

Communications room. Computer consoles and viewscreens.
Armory. Gun racks. Bombs, missiles. Maybe a cart to move them. Weapons can be attached to existing or upcoming vehicles.
Motor pool. Tools. Workbench.
Brig. Prisoner cage.

The walls between all the sets could be same. Or maybe make two different types for variations between rooms. But there would be obvious reuse. Walls have ports for accessories to plug into them. Side walls could be half walls to similar doorways/portals or full walls with doors. Reusing the walls reduces their development costs in the long road.
Barracks. Cots and bunk beds. Would including a figure help sales or just add unnecessarily to cost?

....shelf canon heh.
Shelf Canon was my nickname in College.

I’m, well, the guy in the costume with the goatee.
I told you I was trying REALLY hard to be nice.
I read that entire exchange. Man that guy was just looking for a fight. There was nothing you said that was disrespectful, cruel or mean spirited towards him. I bet you he thinks he meets so many assholes all day, and you know what they say about that.

Right, it was one thing getting Ace's side of it, but reading it was even more severe of a "what the hell is this guy's problem?" You just know he's gonna get the business end of a pen in the throat from Joe Pesci one day.
