G.I. Joe Classified Series

UGH. Pixel Dan. Surely your audience is big enough that you don't have to succumb youtube's "middle aged man makes a face iwhile pointing to new toys for his thumbnail" trend.

Anyway, Sci-Fi's blast effect looks like a gourd, like one of the blast effects from the Lighting Collection. Not saying it looks bad, just an observation.

Holy. Shit. I'm an idiot. I just got shipping notice for Cold Slither. I did not realize it was in stock for folks ordering now, I thought it was one of those "we'll ship it in a few months" SDCC exclusives. I should've realized since they're selling it at the show, but JFC I did not expect it to be on the way so soon.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, another highlight from the panel was their position on "reissue" of HasLab items.

From memory:
1. Never in the same color as the HasLab
2. The HasLab version is the premium version.
3. Always cheaper than the HasLab it came from
4. Never again as a HasLab.

I think there might've been something about a 3 year gap between them, but don't recall exactly.

As a fer instance, she pointed to the recent Pulse exclusive redo of the Ghostbusters proton pack.

This was specifically in answer to the question about the history of the SnowCAT being issued in different colors.

You guys were saying earlier Emily answered a question about Hooded Cobra Commander. What did she say? Is it at least possible?

Also, thanks for that info about the Haslabs Fletch. That is interesting.

I will just reiterate that I will buy the SnowCat, and I will buy it again as the TigerCat. You've got me Hasbro. Just do it.

Any figure that has been done previously in the history of GI Joe is fair game to be made in Classified. Basically, not off the table but no confirmation of happening anytime soon.

It stands to reason.

There's no way they ever planned to ONLY release one Wild Bill. And hell, they specifically released ... was it Crazy Legs..? in his Night Force colors instead of classic colors.
Ripcord as well.

I know I'm a broken record, but Wild Weasel, pilot Baroness, any HISS personnel, and a version of Glenda would be great.

I could see Glenda being one and done as she was based on an international figure and not a main character like Wild Bill. The Night Force versions were certainly picked for the reason of reissuing those characters in their normal looks and Wild Bill in his cartoon colors.

Cobra Commander was largely a pre-tool of the retro version, which has set the precedent of variants of Haslab figures seeing a mainline release. The Mickey Mouse symbol was of course the main thing they were making exclusive there but the glove and vac metal addition made the retro version essentially perfect and nobody complained about that figure being stolen from the Haslab exclusivity.

Pilot Baroness is likely exclusive too with that body certainly bound for reuse. The gunners could see some variation down the line. I bet the mainline Wild Weasel doesn’t have a removable helmet and just has a helmet head. The other Hiss figures could be released in other colors just like the driver and tactician did right out of the gate.

Flint and Lady Jaye will be unique to the Haslab but their winter jackets will certainly get reissued for other winter versions of characters like Duke or Scarlett. The tent is probably bound for a green rerelease somewhere. Frostbite could be exclusive or a slightly color variant later.

It will certainly be interesting if Hiss or Dragonfly or Rattler color variants come down the line. They’ve got to be careful with that kind of thing, people were mixed on that proton pack. It could easily tank the Haslab system if people would rather wait for a ‘cheaper’ version down the line. Curious if failed Haslabs like the Rancor could benefit from a ‘retry’ without all the bells and whistles (or baked in tier costs) for a lower price.
