G.I. Joe Classified Series

Received BBTS preorder arrival notice for retro carded Flint, Cover Girl, and Tele Viper. That's a lot earlier than expected, I thought they were saying October.

Target was doing a reset yesterday. There are four pegs for Joes now (all empty of course). It looks to be one for regular releases, retro, exclusives (Breaker) and the Firefighter/Deluxe.

Also nice to see that Hasbro/Target G.I. Joe exclusives are fucking clown shoes as usual. 🙄

Someone on both ends needs to be fucking fired.

Retro Flint and Cover Girl might be my most wanted figures from Classified this year. Glad they’re coming sooner than anticipated.

Yup, Dash, Courtney and the T-Vs are shipping soon for me too!!
Now bring on Snake-Eyes and the bear!

On the one hand, stoked to get that retro Cover Girl and retro Flint in... On the other hand ot pisses me off that all of these companies deliver a bunch of pre orders the week of SDCC. i am planni g to spend a grip in person this week, I don't need hundreds of dollars in other charges hitting this week too.

I'd love if EE shipped Cover Girl, she's one of my most-anticipated figures of the year. Going to look great working on the VAMP. Might bite if BBTS puts her in-stock for shipping.

Just a little follow-up on Darklon's weapon paint chipping - Three weeks ago I coated both his dagger and sword in two water-thinned layers of Mod Podge Hard Coat. I've been using Hard Coat on Aves Apoxie and hard plastics for a while but this was my first try on softer plastics. After a three week cure, I can report, it's a nice protective layer on the weapons. The sword was easy, it fit the sheath before and after and passes a gentle nail test now, whereas my first Darklon's weapons started chipping almost immediately. The dagger was tricky; as expected, it doesn't want to fit in the sheath because of the raised sections near the guard. So I cut out some of the sheath so the area near the guard fits just snug enough to keep it secure. I'd say this is a good way to go for a non-permanent, non-destructive way (aside from the sheath cuts) to seal your weapons. If anything the mod podge will rub against the sheathe, leaving the clear layer with imperfections but keeping the blade silver.

Worth noting that it does leave a thin whitish film so the weapons won't have as much sparkle as a painted top layer. But they feel nicer, harder, and his sword in particular makes a more satisfying sound when sheathed.

TLDR; Mod Podge Hard Coat works well for Classified but give it at least a couple weeks to cure, up to a month.

Very true, I'm not going to SDCC, but July and Aug look busy. I wonder if BBTS got a nice big shipment of Hasbro. They dropped Ultra Magnus into my POL today that was due in Sept ($90 right there). What else do they have?

...I think I can deal with a She-Hulk if BBTS want to force her on me.
