G.I. Joe Classified Series

Truth be told, I would like two lady pilots heh.
We haven’t seen the last of Glenda’s pilot gear, surely. There will be a female pilot of some kind in the main line at some point. It might be, like, “pilot Scarlett”, but they’ll do it. I’ll bet they could squeeze out a Legacy lady pilot, maybe as an astronaut?

Yep! Ethnic diversity is absolutely key. I’m appreciating what’s going on between the Greenshirt and the Cop, and the more options they give me the more I’m willing to grab a squad.

They should do male and female jumpsuit bodies..or maybe Scrap Iron would work for the mail, and the marine could be reworked a bit maybe for the female. But pilots, support crew, etc.

how about a lady Viper?
Yes, with a caveat.
Also agree about more skin color options for troop builders. In fact, I'm challenging Hasbro to re-issue the Greenshirt figure as a Pulse Exclusive with two completely different/new head sculpts in totally different skin colors. Do it, cowards.

The caveat about female figures in general with Hasbro is just to add some bulk to them. I don't need a female Viper that looks like she'll blow away in a stiff breeze. That's my problem with a lot of what Hasbro does on the female side of things. Just because they're women doesn't mean they need the Barbie physique.

I'm with you on that. I'd like some more variations on body type and height for all genders. I try to cheat that some by putting some on stands next to ones without stands.

Lady Cobra troops I need:
-Crimson Guard (and also Cadet Demming in blue)
-Viper
-Strato-Viper (with Raven unmasked head)
-Range-Viper (in pink with Evy unmasked head)
-B.A.T. (come on it would be awesome!!)
-Night Watch (basically Valkyries in black)
-Diver (with Baroness alt-head from MASS Device)
-Zombie-Viper (multiple alt heads)

I could be persuaded to grab more, though, I’d take almost any Cobra/Iron Grenadier on a female form.

I have one more caveat to lady Vipers - I'd say about a third of the female figures I have in this line can't quite get their arms down by their sides in a standing pose. the all kinda... do an A frame thing. Glenda, Quarrel, Steel Brigade... I think maybe the Valkryies? I need to check on them, I might be wrong there. Get the shoulder hinge right though and I'd buy female versions of all the viper specialties they release.

Just got an alert that Frag Viper is shipping from Pulse - c'mon, Darklon, Blowtorch, and Footloose!

Hasbro does like to busy-up those 1982-1983 looks, and the Trooper got very busy indeed.
I can absolutely assure you with full confidence that a pinless, more directly faithful-to-ARAH/Sunbow Cobra blueshirt will happen. The Rattler HasLab even comes with what will surely be the headsculpt (with the gunner).

They just wanted me to army-build Cobra Island AND Infantry AND Retro first, just like they got me with the various Vipers and BATs before the Retros.
Don't know if this is a hot take or not but; I dig the busy Cobra Trooper design and wish the Greenshirt was equally busy. And make Blueshirts. And Brownshirts. And Arctic Whiteshirts. And Dark Redshirts.

I've said before but all my cobras, even though vipers, are individuals with their own file card etc, so I would probably be in for a couple female vipers, definitely a stratoviper especially if they ever do a retro Wild Weasel. Night watch sounds like something I'd have to get. Also hoping for figures of Munitia and Chameleon.

I think there's room for both. But when I think of a Cobra Trooper in classic colors on a retro card - I think of something more like the Greenshirt, but in blue. I don't think of the overdesigned, MCU-inspired redesigns. That isn't to say those redesigns are bad - just a different thing and not what I want or expect from the retro card series.

Got Heavy Duty from Pulse today, and I was almost mad that they charged me for him and sent him months ahead of the estimated date, but I realized it had been over a month since I got a new Classified figure, and I was getting the itch for new plastic Joes and Cobras, so I forgave them. I do wish they would be a bit more accurate with their estimates, as I like to keep a pretty strict monthly toy budget and getting stuff that's on my list for months from now can really throw things out of whack.

Heavy Duty is fantastic, I love how ridiculous his gear is, and how customizable the load-out can be. I decided to mount the launchers on his shoulders and put the mini-guns at his hips. He's got so much personality, like most of this line, and his head sculpts are some of the best I've ever seen.

My one gripe is that I couldn't manage to fit his headphones on with the harness, but that's probably user error and I just haven't figured out how to finesse them on there. So he's just sporting the R-Zone headgear right now.

I ordered Blowtorch and Frag Viper from Amazon and cancelled my pre-orders for them from Pulse because now I want even more new Joes ASAP. It's a slippery slope. Later this month Pulse is supposed to ship Darklon and Footloose as well, and BBTS just sent me the coming soon email for Retro Mindbender, so I should be awash in plastic heaven soon enough. God I love this line.

The "in stock on Amazon" pull is STRONG. Fortunately, I got like five figures from different lines all shipped and arriving on the same day yesterday to my absolute embarrassment, so now I'm forcing myself to be patient for Pulse to ship Blowtorch and Footloose. Telling myself, CTFD, Doc, they'll get here eventually....

I feel you, when I get my Pile Of Loot delivered every few months, it can be so overwhelming I feel like I shouldn't get any toys for like, a month. I do always end up getting something within a week or two, of course, but I at least THINK about patience and moderation as a possible concept to consider in those instances.
