I was just looking at pics of the old platform. It can be dropped into a location by four Dragonflies, so a bunch of collectors could realistically... all hang out with their helicopters and drop it down into place if we REALLY wanted to?

On the smaller scale, I kinda would love the Cobra Night Landing raft. That has so much potential and would be such a small commitment, space-wise.

Yeah, the Patriot Force Kickstarter gets awkward VERY fast if you scroll down. Nooooo thank you. (It's vaguely depressing that "patriot" has become a red flag to look at someone's background before giving them money these days.)
 
Seeing a couple of people on Fb saying that Hasbro cancelled their Trench Viper / Bunker sets with no valid reason. One said he sent an email to ask what was going on and they banned his account.

Mine still seems to be fine - anybody who ordered this one seeing an issue?

Other than the camo patterns (I'm a sucker for camo), I don't really see anything that stands out or makes the Patriot Force line unique. Valaverse seems to cover most of the 1/12 realistic military fig market. I'm just waiting for more of the Monster Force/Fresh Monkey stuff to drop. I like a healthy dose of weird with my real.

I think Patriot Force is intended very specifically to appeal to the jingoistic crowd that REALLY wants their army man action figures to look 100% authentic instead of like action movie/fantasy versions of army men. Differences in kit or uniform that most of us probably don't really care about.

Anyway, even if the dude behind Patriot Force didn't seem wildly problematic, and the figures didn't seem kind of meh, I'd agree that there's not enough weird going on in there to really interest me. I'll grab the occasional cool semi-realistic dude from Joe, but only really because it's part of the Joe line already. I'm not out on the hunt for hyper-realistic army mans.

Hyper ninjas, Hyper chefs that carry around Hyper heavy machine guns like there a loaf of bread, Hyper used car salesmen turned would-be world conqueror, Hyper arms dealer thats so Hyper handsome he has to hide his Hyper face behind his Hyper metal mask, Hyper biker gangs that are addicted to grape soda and chocolate donuts, and Hyper Dentists with Hyper Fabulous Fashion.

At least two Bunkers seems like the sweet spot but $55 a pop is steep...especially with such bare paint work on the building parts. $40 each and I'll buy and customize 2-4. Some dry brushing, a wash on the sandbags, and matte sealant on everything would make it look way better. Kinda wish they had done something like two bunkers per set at $60 so I wouldn't be stuck with so many Vipers.

I don’t much of an opinion on Patriot Force. I wouldn’t mind some realistic 1:12 military figures. I’m not in love with the loadouts paired with the figures I’d want. And I think the Legacy soldier and pilot from Classified scratches the realistic look for me.
 
I really thought Dial Tone got lost at sea or something and we wouldn't get him. I got the "check your address" notice and thought it was the third check in for the Rattler and was pleasantly surprised to see ol' Dial Tone will be shipping soon.
