G.I. Joe Classified Series

FYI if you want to check if the store has him online his listing won't give you info. I assumed because his release date hasn't hit yet. He said available nearby for me but when I clicked that all stores said not available.

What I did was search for the MCU Fantastic Four figures and saw they were all in stock at this store and I figured since they were all on the same display that they probably had him too, and they did. I would have otherwise never checked this store since they don't normally sell Joe's

Loving Law and Order. One of my favorites as a kid, mostly for the dog. I'm t really impressed with this figure and how they upgraded/ remastered him. This set and Footloose probably complete my top three so far with Rattler Baroness. Really looking forward to seeing who might dethrone them in the back half of the year.

You know I haven't thought about this guy in decades but we should get Pathfinder. With his double machine guns and weed wacker, I think he would be a deluxe.

Joining in the "headcanon" discussion, I remember when I was getting to the age where I wasn't playing with toys so much, but still liked them (I had to look "cool" you know...Junior High sucked). I had read somewhere (and I don't know if this is even true) that Hama had previously pitched a S.H.I.E.L.D. vs Hydra animated series that Marvel had passed on, so when he was tapped for G.I. Joe, he used many of those concepts for the Joe and Cobra characters. So, in my head (and since Marvel was publishing the comics), I imagined that Cobra was a faction that broke off from Hydra, with Cobra Commander being far more interested in money and power than the fascist ideals of Hydra. To this day, that is always in the back of my head, even though I *know* that they are unrelated.

I think there is some truth to that but it was a comic rather than series? I'm not sure really but have definitely heard something along those lines.

So I did some paint washes on Snake-Eyes, also swapped out his hands for spare retro Cobra Commander trigger-hands and gave him the swords from the Blue Ninjas. Also ditched the thigh-gear.

Honestly, this SE really is top-tier.
The modern era take on this version was so lackluster that I made a custom. This Classified version is reminding me how very much I loved the original ARAH figure: he’s jacked, tactical and also totally ninja-ed out. I always think of v3 as the “scariest” SE, but this one feels like the version that would, like, team up with Wolverine to fight the Serpent Society.
. . . damn, there’d be a lot of dead Serpents in that scenario.

, there’d be a lot of dead Serpents in that scenario
Yeah, all of them.

I kinda wanna try that Snake Eyes with a V1 head... An amalgam. But I agree that V3 is the scariest Snake Eyes. I think for half his appearances in that suit, he was an unfeeling killing machine because of storm shadow hypnotizing him to simply get the job done, and the other half he was a feeling killing machine trying to escape Baroness and save Scarlett.

I found the mythical Walmart display and got the NF duo and Crystal Ball.
I also found the mythical Walmart display, and it's my local Walmart that hasn't had Joe in years! Picked up Crystal Ball for now. The NF 2 pack might win me over when there's a lull in other product.
