I don’t have BA CoCo in-hand yet, but I am clearly in the minority in that I totally dig the colors and prefer the metallic plastic to paint. I also preferred the second ML Ultron for the same reason. It’s partly one of those weird neurodivergent things re: texture etc, but also the metallic paint tends to scratch or chip easily when playing with figures, and I will be playing with BA CoCo A LOT. He’ll be a pocket/work-bag figure for sure.
Hilarious Classified moment: I had a CLAW pilot in my pocket after a show this last weekend, and it fell out as I was talking to my director/boss without me noticing. After a bit, he looks down, picks it up and goes: “ohh [Ace] this MUST be yours!”
Sigh. Badass villain and fight director caught with children’s toys. Good thing he knows me well, perhaps even better that I agreed to dress up as Buzz Lightyear for his grandkid’s birthday a couple years ago and stayed in character for FOUR HOURS.
Actors are allowed to be eccentric, I guess, cuz he just hired me again for the next gig.
I’ll be bringing V4 Snake-Eyes to first rehearsal because HE IS OUT FOR DELIVERY!!! Can’t wait to get to work on him with some black paint wash on his grey and metal bits.
