G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

Yeah, I'm 100% behind them adding more women but I don't really want rehashed ideas of existing characters. They've created some gorgeous new figures for Classified and I think they have more bangers in them if they have the time and space to do it. I do think you're flagging good themes to add women characters to though - I'd love to see them create an original Native female character who doesn't take a spot away from existing Native representation, and especially if they make her not a cultural stereotype - think more Airborne than Spirit. We NEED an arctic Joe specialist who's female too since that particular area is a boy's club.

It would be absolutely hysterical if they gender-swapped the guy in the shirt that sounds like a Joe Rogan saying though, that would be hilarious.
I used my darker skinned Marine Sniper female head as a headcannon Native girl related to Spirit. She doesn't look stereotypical at all for a Native, and that's why I think it works so well.

Nah, I’m good with them changing He-man’s logo, too.
I'm not.
I'm also, however, not good with allowing shitty people to co-opt everything and anything they want.

Regardless, the point remains that Salvo's shirt gets a lot more attention than He-Man's symbol. Weirdly.

I think it’s more a case of He-man’s symbol being a pretty common general image (with definite shitty co-opted implications), while Salvo’s slogan 1) looks like he wrote it on there himself and 2) is a blatantly-aggressive actual statement of bludgeoning intent of the kind Merlin warned Wart about in The Once And Future King. It feels like a real thing Pete Hegseth would write on his own t-shirt.

Look: Salvo was a cool ARAH figure and I actually really REALLY love the figure the Club put out. And it’s not like Cross-Country, where it’s like “throw the whole shitty traitor out”. But that shirt really does look like something intentionally worn to provoke, by the kind of raging real-world dickhead who’s looking forward to voting for Trump’s third term.
