G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

I have both of those on my to watch list. Maybe I'll do Shogun soon. I think its on Hulu? Also, I wanna wait for Blue Eye Samurai to get more episodes before I start watching it. I started Hells Paradise and its so fricken short. It was over before anything really cool happened. I know more is coming, but I hate having to wait like 2 or 3 years for it.

There was a non-animated take on a 1/6 Blue Eye Samurai shown, but later canceled. I can't remember if a reason was given. Considering the Chinese seldom get scared over copywriter reasons, I guess low preorder numbers. It got a good reaction from what I seen on the boards.

If it was the VTS figure I saw yesterday, that's a damned shame. I feel like Mezco could pull off an amazing 1/12 version, they're about the only folks I would trust to. Still want that Captain Nemo.

Damn, didn't know it was cancelled.

It's strange, but I don't feel like there are that many Samurai or ninja figures outside of the franchises. Compared to all the monkey kings and Dynasty Warriors type stuff out there. But maybe that's just China.

I was just chatting with another photographer / actor about how pre-AI you'd find a funny photoshop online or better yet, a REALLY GOOD photoshop online and you'd be impressed and share it with everyone, and now we all have to scrutinize it for AI slop. It really had just downgraded the entire communal experience of being nerds online.
I was just googling to see if any customizers or artists have come up with some kinda reimagining for the Dreadnoks. I don't think I'm as severe as Damien, but I STILL have trouble getting into most of their designs. Now I really want a Monkeywrench, thanks to you, but kinda want to change up his design a little. It may just be the jeans really, heh. But in my search, I came across a thread on hisstank with a guy who is doing a photonovel for a Dreadnok movie starting in 2024 with a bunch of Joes as well, and even turned it into a trailer, and everyone in the thread is loving it, but it's just AI nastiness. It's one thing if someone wants to use AI to tell a story and all that, but it really shows the limitations even there. I mean maybe the guy has no eye for cinematography anyway, but the shots used that cut to other shots... it's really jarring. And of course things change from shot to shot too since AI isn't consistent (a sign in one shot is red neon, then changes to blue in the next shot), a guy points with a left hand at the end of his right arm.... so there's all that stuff. And yeah, a lot of the vehicles and people look pretty real, but it's still... just not dynamic. It's always that same style of medium shot of a person, or a closeup, from the same angle. So... I guess if that's what you're into but fawk.

I mean, Blue Eye is a complete full season. It ends on not really a cliffhanger but a 'there will be more' kind of situation. But it's not like you feel like you got ripped off from the time you spent with it or anything. It's a very complete experience watching the whole season.

But then... I came up in the era where you just watched an episode, one after another, for as long as they kept coming out. There was no 'I'll wait for the entire project to exist in its full entirety before I watch the first episode.'
