Not a fan of the sci-fi body armor. Probable pass. I’m good with the Beachbum we got.

Take away the sleeves, but the keep the vest as is. Gives it a good balance of future tech and classic look that way I think.

Nah. Not a fan of regular Joes getting decked out in sci-fi armor as a rule. AND I don't actually like Beach and never have. This same design on a character I'm a bigger fan of... you may be able to convince me. But Beach? At like 40 dollars Canadian? No way.

Eh maybe. I think the last few weeks have shown me I like new things and things I have nostalgia for. Things I have nostalgia for in slightly blander designs aren't doing it for me by and large.

Day 121b - Duke - (EA Concept Art) (1/11/26)

Continuing with this week's theme of the EA video game concept art, everyone's unquestionably favorite First Sergeant! Duke comes in on day 121, but is our 150th figure featured in the poll!

Still not super feeling the armored look, but I have to admit that I like it on Duke a lot more than Beach. Probably largely because of the colors. I don't think I could ever use this as Duke, so I need some kind of alternate head or for the Duke head to not look like the traditional Duke or something... but I could be convinced to buy this one for sure.

Yes, they should do a classified version of THAT Duke/army builder.
The EA one just really obviously has the silly armor pattern I hated from the first GI Joe movie.

For some reason I prefer the bloused look for rank-and-file guys. I feel like unbloused pants is something that like... named Joes can get away with (but Duke would NEVER do it), but the background nobodies like greenshirts or tanshirts, in this case, would never. So some kind of combo of the EA and Retaliation looks would be ideal for me, I think.

I wouldn’t fight for the unbloused boots. I almost always prefer bloused unless it’s, like, tactical Shipwreck.

I like this design, but I have no doubt that if they were to ever do this the helmeted head would just be another Steel Corps helmet and I am getting a bit burnt out on that as the defacto masked army builder alternate head sculpt.

Mmmm I feel you. Yeah, I want something more like the included head. Which now that I think about it would be the 60th soldier balaclava head with Gen. Hawk’s tighter goggles and Grunt’s helmet.

So maybe “yes, and” that shit by including those items *and* a Steel Corps helmet in desert deco.
