G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

Regarding Ninja Force:

When the subline debuted in '92, we also got the mail-away Ninja Viper (Storm Shadow v1 repaint). To me, that is not part of Ninja Force, but still essential to the Ninja Force line in its own way and SHOULD be Ninja Force branded in Classified. Plus it up with variant masks and loads of weapons.

While we got the classic-color head with the Classic Night Creeper, Ninja Force isn't complete without the NF Night Creeper. Period. Very army-builder friendly.

Even though he wasn't NF-branded, Night Creeper Leader came out in '93 alongside the second wave of Ninja Force figures and, to me, is inextricably linked to Ninja Force. And he is one of my favorite ARAH figures of all time so I WANT that figure in Classified, fully ARAH-accurate.

I would also argue that Slice v2 has a cool color scheme and could absolutely be a unique character here (even if he's still called Slice, YOU can use him as a different character, especially if they include all the Slice extra parts from the 2-pack). And Dice was repainted as the Red Ninjas and I'd be down to see that happen again - especially with Dice's 2-pack extra parts included.

So even just sticking to ARAH-accurate stuff, there's a lot of room here for some great Ninja Force villains.

They need to make him. And they need to go *crazy*. Keep the wild and awesome basic design, and then hit the gas with groovy ninja weapons and definitely one of those specific masked heads they’ve been doing: not even sure what kind of mask I’d suggest for him, just make it cool.
And as I always say: pack in shoulderpads and alt-head for the DIC Night Creeper Leader that can be popped onto the original Night Creeper body.
 
As a late comer to GI Joe, I did own two Ninja Force figures as a kid.

Bushido, who I just thought looked really cool and wanted him to hang with my Street Fighters.

And Banzai, because he looked so much like Vega and Vega hadn't come out yet.

Then of course if we got Banzai, that's another body that could get reused for a Classified Street Fighter line...

I literally don't care a whit about anything they put in the box as long as I can display an ARAH-accurate Night Creeper Leader. That's all I care about. NCL with two orange-ito'd katana. That's all I need to be happy.

I also had Banzai and also because I wanted to use him as Vega. In fact, I don't think I ever actually found the official Vega when it was released, so I just always used Banzai.
Bushido is a great figure, though. I'd absolutely buy him in Classified.

I agree RU1977. I think a NF Snake Eyes and redo of the “Arctic” Storm Shadow will be a set as I think Target wants heavy hitters that sell better. The Orange Slice would be pretty cool as well as Night Creeper Leader. I know of Bushido and Banzai but would need a multiple choice option or line up to guess which is which.

I just realized how many “ninja” themed characters we have in Classified. There are quite a few. I had forgotten about Kamakura. Were there more lady bad guy ninja in the comics? I know in Classified we have blue ninja with the sweet alternate head and the Python Patrol ninja. He name escapes me. I remember her being a driver. I’d be okay if they gave us a new Ninja Force character or make a female red Cobra ninja.

I actually don't think Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow will be a set together, but rather one will be in a set with someone like Dojo, to make Dojo a better seller.
