G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

Like the hooded CC, but I don't love it. I'll get it for sure, but I find it a bit too "busy" for the figure.

Anyway I think we have seen pretty much everything that will be revealed tomorrow for preorder. Not counting name only reveals, or other teases. Then next week the next mainline wave (Iceberg, etc) is possible?
 
Can you guys explain to me the whole Lara Croft thing? Does Hasbro have the rights and in what way does that relate to GI Joe?

And what could that mean for future crossover figures?

At least for a one-off Classified collaboration, it appears so.

Lara will be crafted in the style of Classified, presumably in Classified-branded packaging. I would guess it will be up to our imagination whether or not Lara “formally” joins the Joe team. Personally I think she fits right in and probably discovered Cobra-La.

All of my GI Joe's have been in a box. Just no room unless I add a new shelf. Guess I now have a weekend project. I'm just realizing this will be my 4th Cobra Commander and I'm only a mild collector of the Classified line.

Yeah. I actually love that Lara is coming up, I just thought there was an official reason for that.

Wait... what? They're doing Lara Croft? Yeah, I know how that sounds... That will be awesome, though.

Looking at the pics on the previous page, I may have 5 Cobra Commanders.

I can almost be tempted since I'm assuming the cape and epaulets are removable*. I'd prefer the more streamlined version too.

But this will likely be expensive and have a bunch (like, a  bunch) of stuff that would just go in the closet.


* Seriously, look how much his right epaulet doesn't fit over the shoulder rope.

Thing is, as I've said in the past, I'm not a huge CC fan. I recognize his importance as a character in the mythology, but I'm not chomping to get more CC figures. I was actually content to wait (and hope) for a black costume with the hood, as that's the one I had as a kid and so that's the one I'm attached to.

But then they went and did the crown and the throne and... it looks good. And I'm saying that as someone that always said I actually do not care if hooded CC ever gets made. Wasn't important to me. Then I see this, and like an absolute sucker loserface I'm just like 'give it to me now!'
