Yes, this is a great take. One of the first issues I read was the one with Destro, Fred, and Firefly going to Snake Eyes' cabin to kill him. Really great one to start with, and I eventually got back issues but only so far. I didn't read the first dozen or so issues until I was an adult, heh.

But yeah, I LOVED the Snake Eyes origin story and the follow-ups that trickled through the series, like Storm Shadow learning it was Zartan then Snake Eyes dropping everything to raid Cobra Island with him, and all the way up to, yeah, that final twist of 'oh shit, that was Firefly all along?!'. It didn't strike me as hard as the Zartan one, maybe because I was on the verge of dropping the line entirely, but I was still excited about it. And loved that cover!

100%!!!!! Or, if they had to, maybe update it kinda, like they did with hooded CC? I'm not sure how. I guess maybe the Cobra Island Classified figure could have been a decent direction.

I didn’t hate that design (great head portrait), but he looked more EOD than saboteur to me. Also he had those skinny legs I hated even on Snake-Eyes (also Snake-Eyes shouldn’t be “skinny”: Storm Shadow should be the lean one, Snake-Eyes should be built like Batman, which is to say: jacked and imposing but still flexible). I wouldn’t mind some light armor on Firefly, but he needs to be ready to *move*. He’s a sneaky, stealthy bugger: that big vest would get caught on everything.
 
True. A less cumbersome version of that maybe. I never liked the helmet they gave him in Pursuit of Cobra either. Just a mask, please.

Helmet is fine as long as it is *removable*, but yes that helmet looked good from the front but suffered form buttsauce “Raimi Goblin” crap in the back. Trouble with the PoC Firefly was that the alt masked head was *bad*: it low-key looked like a pup-play snouted mask. Also that figure had lame, skinny limbs.

But that basic design? Pretty cool and could be much cooler in Classified. I’d be for a “heavy assault” Firefly with a more “in your face” armory.

All of them could be much cooler in Classified and I hope they start trickling them out. but stuff like that helmet, with some changes... I would be cool with that being someone else. I guess a lot of alt looks I'd be good with being someone else, heh. Destro, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, CC, etc, those are one thing, but Firefly needs to look a certain way, Baroness, Major Bludd, etc... but I'm all for more characters. When they had Tombstone ten years ago or so, it's like... yeah! New Cobra guy! Stiletto, Crimson Asp, all those. Bring them! Along with all the unmasked characters from the cartoon, Professor Appel, and so on.

Ehhhhhhhh she was just Baroness with an eyepatch in Poison Ivy colors, not even “crimson” beyond her hair. Looked like Molotov Cocktease from The Venture Brothers in the face. Always seemed like a lazy Collectors Club release. Like I *guess* they could Classify her up but maybe just remake a new, more original character with a similar background? Even the name is kinda lame.
 
I am definitely an easy mark for the small/simple items like this. Sure! (Reminds me I gotta write up Fast Draw to complete a file card year.)
 
While they were fun for their time I am okay without them coming to Classified. Plus a lot of them could easily be implemented as pack-in accessories for a deluxe figure. I mean Metal Head and Heavy Duty basically have these types of accessories already so maybe go that route instead (with the obligatory updates for Classified).
 
Fuck yeah. I love when toy companies make little companion pieces and accessory sets like this.
