I know it's utterly ridiculous. I know next to nothing about Mr. Beast except the kids seem to love him because he gives away money or something, but this absurd toy might find a place on my shelf depending on size. I could see it as some sort of wild experiment by Mr. Sinister or something.

It's neat looking, but I don't want to give Mr Beast any money, so it's an easy skip for me.

This design does nothing for me. Love the Horsemen, but at the end of the day, they're sculptors for hire and Mr. Beast has deep pockets. I don't have much knowledge or any strong feelings about Mr. Beast, but all of his barely edible foodstuffs I see in convenience stores sure make him seem like a grifter. Still, if he can get kids to temporarily put down their video games and play with toys again, i.e. use their imaginations for a change, then I see that as a net positive.

Zero children are ever going to play with this toy.

I thought Mr. Beast's target audience was the under-18, raised-by-YouTube crowd.
For sure. But he has plenty of fans over 18. Kids are barely the target audience for toys, in general, anymore. And I can't imagine the Four Horsemen are going to produce something with the price and availability that'll appeal to non-toy collecting adults just buying silly action figures for their kids.

I know toys are largely an adult market now and kids just want skins and other DLC for their video games, but the Horsemen aren't producing this figure. Mr. Beast is, and he has the financial backing to produce these at Hasbro scale and get them into retail stores. Do we know what the price for this neon nightmare will be?

James can certainly back this all he wants, but stores still have to want to carry it, and children still have to want to own it, and children still have to convince parents to buy it, and parents still have to be able to afford it. There's a lot of steps here, and Jimmy isn't exactly a toy manufacturer. He's just a rich douchebag. And rich douchebags fail all the time because they think they can jump into markets they don't understand.

Time will tell, of course. But I have two children -- currently 15 and 11. I've watched all of these brands come out of the woodwork with toys because they're popular in the Internet space and I've watched them all go on clearance or end up at the Dollar Store because kids don't fucking care about them.

Very fair. I think it's an ugly toy design so I'm not trying to make a case for this being an automatic success. However, his Feastables have gotten universally terrible food reviews, but apparently kids can't get enough of them and his snack revenue has now surpassed his video advertising revenue so if anyone can get kids to play with toys again, it's this huckster.

Oh these are 140% for the grown ass men in the Horsemen cult and no one else.

Mr Beast Labs is already made by a toy company, the sculpts on those figures were fine, if he wanted a more playable toy he could have just had them add articulation and been done with it.

These are a 4H Collaboration to use THEIR clout to get ahead in the collector’s space.

The same trick those NFT Space figures did (Metaverse Travelers?) and those bigger than Boss Fights Dino Warriors but they were all the same buck sculpt (Guardians of Eden?)

The Horsemen will partner up with anyone with a convincing smile and enough money (it’s why they sculpted so many Super7 ULTIMATES! And have two failed comics and a soon to fail game!)

I’m sure Mr Beast read an article about “Kidult” spending habits and decided he needed a piece of that sucker pie! And all the dutiful kaballers will line up at the slop trough to add “basically two new Cosmic Legions!” to their collection, while Mr Beast laughs all the way to the bank Eric Treadway says “Wow! I can’t believe he paid slightly better than Mattel for that one sculpt! Oh well, I never need to think about it again… doopdooopdoop…”

I actually don't think he can. The thing is - it's easy to sell people on your brand name slapped onto something they already buy. Kids (and adults), already buy junk food by the dump truck load. We fill entire landfills with just the waste from bags of chips and candy bars and energy drinks and shit. It's virtually no effort at all to be like 'next time you want a candy bar, buy my shitty one!' And kids will. And parents will because it's a couple of bucks and it keeps the kids quiet.

I don't think that's going to work for toys when most of his audience don't buy toys and can't afford anything expensive.

Agreed.

Wait.. is their failed game the D&D one, or the video game? Because I think probably both.
