Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Sounds like by next Wednesday we should have something new to talk about. While going over the Jersey Devil with Eric tonight on Mythic Conversations, Jermey teased they’d be back on next time with Jeremy going to Eric (the studio). So it could be some more Legions Con items or maybe the Graveyard offering? The Figura went up when it did because of scheduling so something is on the horizon.

New update on their shipping schedule.

2026 sounds VERY optimistic for the dragon. The other stuff sounds like reasonable estimates.
December 31, 2026 would still technically be 2026 haha. That 2026 date is rather surprising though. They did mention they’ve had it in preproduction longer than most other items are before they’re revealed because it’s so unique. Hopefully that paid off and things are going well on the production front, which seems to be the case with that update. They could have easily not pinpointed even a year yet so they must be liking what they are seeing.

Plus, the sooner they can get the dragon out, the sooner they can get other big items or dragon variants done.

It feels like we're due for a new Cosmic Legion wave. The last full wave was announced August 2024.

It would be great timing to announce a Cosmic with the first Oxcrewe arriving this quarter, allegedly. Get folks while they're hyped with new toys. (I am very much... whelmed by this set but I got the whole thing because I was very much hyped by the PREVIOUS Cosmic wave.)

Although the calendar they showed off today, the thing that got me most hyped was our barbarians and dwarves coming before the end of the year, because the werewolf wave has me desperate for wintery-themed stuff from them. Good timing.

Why--is that just based upon their history?

I wouldn't expect it to be out of pre-production yet. They've still got to finish the sculpt before they create the molds, and finishing that sculpt I'm sure is the biggest hurdle. They mostly had it aesthetically done, but finishing the engineering and QA is time-consuming.

If it's not out of pre-production by say March then I'd worry about them shipping by the end of 2026.

Just based on their history. Their waves usually take what, about three years? And hopefully they don't rush this out the door because for something this costly they can't afford to have it have some of their usual QC issues. And I think they hadn't figured out the engineering yet on the prototype.

Not a knock on them or complaining, just that their track record is unhurried and from their comments they want to take the time to get it right, and under 2 years from the kickstarter feels very out of their usual MO.

The dragon felt optimistic to me, too. I'm not supposed to get the Snowy Dudes wave until 2027. I'm supposed to believe they can turn an unprecedented dragon figure around in the same time frame? I can't see it.

I like how dude gave me all that table talk and then a week later they just post this and it's totally different from what he was saying.

At the moment, their waves take a little over 2 years from pre-order to delivery so I'm also skeptical we'll see that dragon in 2026. They keep hinting that they have a lot of reveals between now and the end of the year so that should be entertaining.

Just a random comment about a specific figure - I was swapping some figures out (I'm trying to set up a "D&D party on a ride" display with a knight, ranger, wizard, and cleric on horseback now that I've got Deacon for Enoch. Duban has been one of my favorites since I got him since he's got "aging Aragorn" vibes. I don't keep him on his horse usually but this setup of course requires that. I had him next to Krotos, the lil satyr / faun shaman/druid/whatever he is, and I've decided Krotos is my new favorite under-appreciated figure. I always loved Thistlethorn the most as my "lil guy" figure, but the head sculpt on this satyr is so mournful and distinct. He looks like you just walked into the grove he's protected his entire life and he is just so tired of dumbass humans walking into his grove.

He's a little anemic on accessories but he's just such a neat little guy. Love re-discovering figures I've had for a while and finding a new reason to love 'em.

Playing around with effects in Procreate.

Truly dumb question - does anyone know if the improved hand packs H4 sells work with the 1.0 bodies, like are the pegs/holes the same? Was just swapping out some figures and thinking I'd love to use the modern green orc hands instead of the awkwardly small hands on the original 1.0 bodies and was like... oh yeah, they actually sold hand packs, duh. NEver even considered buying them before but now I'm just curious if they work on both newer and older bodies.
