I agree with everything you said — but it just occurred to me and it seems very plausible that 4H would simply remove the exclusive head from all the packages before they were sent to BBTS. They did it with the barbarian woman ...

Easy enough to slide it out of their packaging, yeah. And I imagine the leftovers from con season are in the dozens or a few hundred, not a massive scale procedure.
 
Yeah, I hope not for those who bought them. But it just popped into my head, and like I said, it seems plausible. We'll find out.

I only think they'd do it as a nod to the con organizer. They've said they don't like to sell the reissues till at least six months after out of respect for the people hosting the conventions who order the exclusives.

Maybe not, though, the guy who put on the Jersey con is the same guy who organizes LegionsCon — actually, maybe BBTS gets the figures right from him in both cases.

In any event, this is all wild speculation and should be treated as such ...
 
The pics on the BBTS site only show two heads. Ancestrally, I'm a euro-mutt but I spent a week in Scotland a couple years ago and have decided that I identify with my Scottish blood. I'm willing to throw the extra dollars at this one exclusive for those reasons.

Messing around with the Armory Gladiators, it occurred to me, Magnus is based on a post-breakdown bearded Mel Gibson.

So between Red Sonya needing a $10 add-on kit to complete, almost Gimli being a “free gift with purchase”, and now a Mel Gibson head being included with “Highland Warrior” as timed exclusive the Horsemen just need to rebrand themselves as “CoolHorse Wow Toy” when they get an official license despite the fact we all
know it’s the same company as 4H Studios and they’ve fully transitioned into just being a 3rd party toy company!

Trivia: Highland Warriors other heads are Kurt Russel (you can really see it when you compare it to Gus, or Ego, whatever you call that head sculpt) and I shit you not, Tim Allen, the Father Christmas head sculpt is very clearly Tim Allen in the Santa Clause… so man, get two of the three possible Highland Warriors together and those fuckers are gonna have some OPINIONS ain’t they…
