Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I hate that both of the words are in my vocabulary, but somehow it's even worse that it's also on the news. Peter Thiel Funds Looksmaxxer Clavicular was a real headline this morning and if I weren't already on the edge of ending it all, that would have put me there.

Wait, did people not know that? I mean, whenever someone toxic on a full-culture scale becomes that visible, I assume Thiel is funding them until proven wrong.

Also, begging the dudes who make action figures to stop being weird about female action figures. This is another reason why wrestling figures are the core of my collection now. No one on the WWE team is being weird about it and the real-person element means that no one's thirst or weird hangups are informing designs, you're just making figures according to how someone actually looks and dresses.

I didn't even know Clavicular existed until like ten days ago, TBH and wish I didn't now. But yeah, any time something shitty his going on it's a safe bet Thiel or one of a half-dozen other guys is paying for it somehow.

Except not really. You're just making someone according to what parts your cheap ass company already has available or is willing to make. So you still end up with the other end of the conversation; collectors being gross about women because this female wrestler should have bigger boobs, and this one should have a bigger ass, and god forbid you make one that has a HUMAN-SIZE waist because then they'll look 'fat' compared to all the other anorexic action figures Mattel makes.

But I agree that there's very little apparent goonerism involved in the -design- process, at least.

Now I'm having flashbacks to having to ignore entire threads on Fwoosh that got too deep into how big Psylocke's tits should be. Once again, appreciate the civility and maturity of AT's members these days.

...what?

Who cares how big an action figure of an imaginary woman's breasts are. And no one better say comic accuracy. If that is your defense you are gross. I an telling you that now if you were unable to figure that out for yourself.

Yeah, those conversations got (still get) pretty gross.

I'll defend it up to a point. In the same way that I adamantly point out Wolverine figures should be shorter than everyone else. A character that is always drawn fairly chesty, for instance, should probably have a figure that isn't the equivalent of an A-cup. I don't think fans that want that are being unreasonable because it IS part of how the character is depicted. As long as those people are consistent with that complaint across other characters (and they usually are - a lot of these guys are bringing stuff like this up because they're super pedantic about muscular, body type, body shape, height, etc).

But when you're debating whether or not a female figure's large breasts are TRULY C-cup or are closer to large B-cup... you've gone off the fucking rails.

Quite possibly the final, only hill I'll die on. Tall Wolverine is like putting hair on Picard.

Y'know, height might be the only hill I'll die on. Luke should be shorter than Han and Leia should be shorter than Luke. Batman and Superman should be about the same height, roughly. Just stuff like that. I really don't get worked up about much.

But man there were some conversations about bust size in the old forums that made me leave the Marvel section for two weeks to come back when people stopped talking about it.

For real. It didn't just happen in the Marvel forum, either. I remember it happening multiple times across multiple different lines over the years. It's like the perpetual complaint from incel toy collectors; "my action figure doesn't give me a big enough hard-on."

Man, all this conversation because I made an off hand reference to something the 4H said twenty years ago, and now I’m left thinking…

Hey wait… did any other Rising Sons figures get a butt plate?!

Like is this a new piece to address the issue of the lego brick ass when you turn them around or did they just want to cake up the ladies?!

Neve is the first one I full disassembled but looking at the official photos it looks like the lady dwarf has one as well (great look guys, every man is wearing a butt covering of some sort and two of the three ladies literally have their asses hanging out…)

I know they’ll give tuniced knights a little dick cup armor piece so if want to display them tunicless they have something… are the butt plates standard so you take the chinsy ass faux fur off Attlus he’s got a little something or is it Lego City back there?!?!

And if the butt plates aren’t standard… is the tail hole?!

Man, I’m going to be flipping over a shit load of Barbarians and knights when I get home to get to the bottom (pun!) of this mystery…

Welp, you just caused me to do a butt check on the Rising suns figure. Female dwarf: butt plate. Shadow elf? no butt plate. Demons, male barbarians, male dwarves, no butt plate. Tail hole only on Skapular.

Thank you for doing the Lord’s work, I’m gonna be at work for the next four hours and this would have eaten away at me not knowing…

ONLY ONE FIGIRE HAS THE GD TAIL HOLE?!?!

(insert Community meme “I can excuse the misogynistic comments, but I draw the line at not standardizing the tail hole!” “You can excuse the misogynistic comments?!”)

The lack of tail holes baffles me, because I don't know the difference in hip or front hole stuff for that part. Like why not make every character capable of living their furry dreams?
