While I'm disappointed it's going to take longer to get all of the Christmas ghosts, I'm extremely excited for this. After the Krampus, this was my #1 want for a Christmas figure.

Love the teaser uses the word “PRESENT” as a F’you to people who, you know, wanted to complete the team…

I bought one because my wife like mice warriors, but not excited about a Nutcracker subline.

Also really fucking weird the Cackler (wind-dodgey or whatever Dork Lair kept calling him) is apparently almost completely tooled up but we won’t have that wave for like another year and a half…

Jeremy is already doing damage control assuring us they’re completing the Carol Ghosts eventually but that doesn’t mean anytime soon and doesn’t commit them to Scrooge either. I think people are more upset by the blatant tease of the Ghost of Christmas Present only for it to be something else. Had the teaser been more honest and teased what was actually coming, I think many of us would be less upset by the switch. They knew we were expecting Present and they used that assumption against us. Even Dorklair’s review didn’t waste time making other guesses. He fully expected it to be Present as well, even after partially opening the box and seeing the presents artwork.

100%. If they'd made less of a production about pranking their own customers this would've gone over a lot better. It's a shame, because I actually really like the figure. I am tempted by it since I haven't been getting the CC stuff.

As someone who hasn't been interested in the Christmas Carol stuff, this was a nice surprise. The multi-mouse head is a mess but the single rodent head shots look pretty good. Was hoping it would be something I could easily skip but now I don't know.

4H is getting a bit of hate (for them) on IG over the decision to skip the ghost. I think the teaser was more lazy than mean-spirited and I bet they really wish they'd used "gift" instead of "present." But I think whatever they did people were gonna expect Christmas Carol even though they basically just warned everyone that they were gonna be unpredictable with the releases.

I was not in on the Christmas Carol. I do want the mouse. Nutcracker is my family's thing, including the ballet every Christmas, and I do not want a whole line. I just want the mouse. I don't see them doing Clara, which would be my only other want.

I preface with that just to say I continue to think it is dirty that they would start a line and then pivot, especially with an annual output. I get why Hasbro staggers their X-Men and Avengers, but maybe you run both lines, concurrently or turn it into a quarterly process so that people can just have it for Christmas even if you're showing it in March for order.

I don't know. It's dumb. It's just dumb.

I don’t think Nutcracker will be much of a line beyond an addition of the Nutcracker himself. The Mouse King and Nutcracker squaring off would make a nice display.

If FO releases weren’t so much on the higher side, I’d be tempted to pick up another two of these for some Mouse King warriors/guards. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw something like that later on, maybe in ML?

I have no interest in any of the Christmas Carol gang so this was a pleasant surprise, but it's such an odd move for a toy company to set the expectation and then go out of their way to avoid it. Still, if I had more room in my display I'd probably pick him up just as a fun monster.
