Figma Video Game Figures

Genuinely surprising to see a defence of plastic/immovable capes et al, I cannot abide that stuff. I picked up a figure recently with one and they can't move their goddamn arms without removing it, it's just a completely useless method that should be consigned to either statues or the dustbin of history. They don't even have to be wired, just compare the beautifully draping Inart TDK cape to any plastic/vinyl one and it's simply no contest.

Anyway, in other news, I've got...huh. Just a box?

How are the faces? Are there any loose joints? I've heard a ton bad things about this figure, but I really want a good Snake and this one looks pretty good.

Welp. Probably going to need this.

They made a Sega version a few years ago that I passed on, but the PS models are a bit more iconic for me personally.

Of course this continues the trend of teasing me along for the Nintendo set that I'd really love them to make. Although even if they did a Nintendo set, I'd hope they'd do the American versions as well for the NES and SNES.

Atsu could be cool, but I've never liked how they pull those pants off on any samurai figure.

Yeah, I doubt she'll move well.

Somewhat infuriating that they seem to have skipped Jin, too.

"Oh man, I hope this is the year Goodsmile announces Simon Belmont, Ness, or a new SMT protagonist"

"Anyways, here's 20 different anime cat girls"

Some mildly interesting news might be that they announced Final Fantasy Nendoroids. Is Square going to start licensing out their properties to more capable figure manufacturers?

I'm currently playing Ghost of Yotei so I'll probably get Atsu...Although I'm sure the game will be a distant memory by the time that comes out 😂

I've been cataloging the process of what ordering something from Amiami looks like now in the tariffs thread, but hey, look who finally showed up!

He's obviously mostly the same figure as before, but I really do think the changes are all for the better. Minus losing his cigarettes and cigarette hands.

Also with Snake were the Plamax Mothman and Decarabia model kits, which I wanted to go with my other Figma SMT/Persona stuff.

Decarabia was pretty straightforward and easy, Mothman was a bit more frustrating. The instructions say you'll need glue, but never really specifies where. Didn't need any for Decarabia, but needed some to keep Mothman's mouth and feet pieces in place. The stickers for his wings are also hard to put on with as little mess-up as possible. But both at least look good when they're finished.

I'm pretty sure figma made Jin a while back. Reviews weren't great on it if I recall correctly.
You're right. And it sold out everywhere immediately.

I don't know what a single figure in this photo is from. Impressive.

Move over Mando, bugger off Boba, the GOAT is here.

"Would you like to comment on claims that you've repeatedly committed genocide by arbitrarily exterminating thousands of metroids in your battles against the Space Pirates?"

"..the fuck you say?"

Look, if you're never going to reveal your sources of where you get them early, you can at least give me the Game Complete head swap.

I've been waiting years to put Zero on it

I'll see what I can do poppet, though the suit head feels rather reluctant to pop off..!

As for the where, the recent Figmas were all from Hobby Link Japan. Basically I just rotate between there, AmiAmi, Nin-Nin Game, Gundammit, Bombusbee, and Hobby Search for most things, bar the Storm stuff which I get directly from Storm.
