I never received my mail-away Mr Gone. I bought all of the Shocker Toys Indie Spotlight figures from BBTS and have them all to this day. Some are good. Some aren't. My Dick Tracy is really bad.
Wait, those Spotlight figures were actually sold at TRU? I don't remember that!I *almost* bought SCUD when I saw him at TrU back in the day. I ultimately passed, because I didn't know anything about the character, but most of the reviews of him were positive.
I believe the first wave was announced around 2006 or 2007, and released around 2009.This must have been during my dark ages, 07-15?
I still picked up the odd toy but I wasn't as connected as I was back at the Toyfare and RTM days.
Nothing worse than a bad Dick!I never received my mail-away Mr Gone. I bought all of the Shocker Toys Indie Spotlight figures from BBTS and have them all to this day. Some are good. Some aren't. My Dick Tracy is really bad.
Yeah...I don't know how widespread they were, or if they were distributed across the country, but I saw SCUD (both the standard yellow and the black variant), Katchoo, Shadowhawk, and Kabuki there. I was a big fan of the Kabuki comic, but passed on the figure because I felt it was rather lacking (and I still had the one Clayburn Moore had done, so I saw no need). I believe some folks found Tick and Maxx at TrU as well, but I can't be 100% certain I'm remembering that correctly.Wait, those Spotlight figures were actually sold at TRU? I don't remember that!
I used to enjoy emailing Geoff to ask where my figures were![]()
