Big Bad Workshop General

I knew a guy with an eyepatch once. He got hit in the eye with a frozen paintball and needed multiple surgeries to fix it. He thought he'd be sexy with an eyepatch and started wearing patches that matched his outfits. A few months later he says "y'know, you think you're gonna be a badass but after a few weeks you just become 'the eyepatch guy.'" So he started wearing glasses that kind of hid his eye injury a bit but didn't call as much attention to himself.

My dad had a Marine under his command who lost his eye in a mechanical accident, and he replaced it with a glass eye - USMC Red with the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor seal for the iris/pupil.

I guess he broke it out on dress uniform events to scare peoples' wives for a laugh.

Major Coco arrived yesterday and the little space monkey cracks me up. Such a fun addition to the gonzo Monster Force universe.

And I *think* he scales okay. I've never stood next to a chimp before, space commander or otherwise.

The bubble helmet is really fiddly and I had trouble getting it clicked together over his head. Only after it was on did I stop to wonder if Coco could wear the cowboy hat that comes with the "Dallas" alternate head. Space cowboy monkey sounds even cooler. I'll have to try it if the bubble helmet ever comes off.

I'm wanting to ship my POL because it has something for my wife in it, but I also want to make it worth the cost of shipping so I figured I'd throw something else in there. The adventurer dude got me kind of wanting the saboteur. But I'm using these guys as sort of maybe Vietnam-era at best and I did not realize before that the saboteur's knee pads are part of the sculpt, and they look very modern. That's annoying.

I've had the Saboteur in and out of my cart for a week to use with the second adventure dude head and never noticed the kneepads. I've been reading a couple of cold war era spy novels lately and was just thinking "guy in dark jacket and turtleneck, that works but the knees really do make him look like he's from now and not the beforetimes.

Exactly. It's actually a huge bummer because I'd basically talked myself into buying him and then I was like 'wait.. those aren't an overlay. Fuck sake.'

This is a constant source of frustration for me. MCU, G.I. Classified, BBWS, whatever. Give me fewer design elements so I can use the damn thing for a kitbash.

Yeah... not going to lie, I didn't notice those knee pads in the initial offering. They got me to order because I wanted that jaguar trooper... or I might not have.

Still waiting for my PoL with all of the Crimson Moon and Soldiers of Fortune figures to get here.
