52Toys Capcom (Street Fighter, Captain Commando)

Yes, both of them are super reputable. And both give you what your full price will be on the item order pages.
I'll consider it then. I might wait until a bit closer to the release though. Especially since it doesn't seem to let me get a estimate for how much shipping will eventually be . I might just wait until it's released towards the end of the year.

Does anyone know if the sites that have it for pre-order now are reputable? I'm not super comfortable putting a down payment on a pre order for an item that doesn't seem to have a consistent final price yet and the shipping cost on those sites is probably also a factor.
I've ordered from 5ktoys.com a few times. Just last week I ordered the Kongfu King and shipping was $5.

I decided to put down the 7 dollars for captain commando. I'm just going to hope for the best in terms of the final shipping cost. I'll be honest I'm not used to pre orders like this but I think that 45-ish bucks is reasonable for what is offered. Although I'm mostly just getting him for the mvc display

Didn't even realize a second thread was made for these! Maybe we merge them?

Very glad preorders are up, though. Hopefully the Final Fight line gets some color prototypes soon.

Gundamit is great.
Bombusbee is good.
5k is great but recently I have had reliability shaken in their PO holds since they... Did not hold.

I like Gundamit for speed, 5k usually has to get everything onboarded in their California Warehouse and they tend to be late to the party with many of products. It's not a knock against their customer service or reliability though.

The lower deposit plus your feedback has made me decide to cancel the 5k one and order from gundamit instead. I think I'm just going to let it sit now though.

Am I missing it?

Guy and Sodom

The paints are pretty bland or even non-existent, outside of Sodom's jeans. Would've been nice if they included some weapons or pick up items but other than that, I quite like them. Will will for a Guy from Storm, though, since they're more my scale.

Also also. I was a bit confused because Guy doesn't match and of his sprites but seems like they based gun on the character art. Which is great because he needs the sneakers for sure.

The skin tones are very flat, though I do quite like the sculpt itself a lot. They've really sold the very anime influenced style Capcom had in the 90s. And what I want from my Capcom toys of this era is a 1:1 recreation of the art and promotional material (never sprite art. never.), so this will do quite perfectly. While 52toys is DEFINITELY a bit small, this alongside Storm will make for a very solid overall collection of 90s Capcom and/or MVC collection. I really hope we can get Ghosts & Goblins and Maximo from 52toys, they'd do them splendidly.

Hopefully Storm's Darkstalkers come soon. Was out at Momocon on Saturday with my Lilith itabag, and met two Lilith cosplayers (wonderful people), so I have her hardcore on the mind. I need more variety in the Capcoms already...

I got my Street Fighter 6 Chun this morning. The articulation and posing is great!, but she does have weak ankles, which means I cannot run balance game on her kicks like I can with the Jada and SHF. Seems kind of criminal given who it is. You do get a base of course, but I like balancing things.

Certainly scaled smaller than Jada, to the point I wouldn't mix and match.

The plastic feels nice and the joints are smooth.

You get three portraits, five sets of hands, and three sets of the plastic dress pieces for your posing needs. Paint is really nice on the dress because the outside is white and blue with gold trim but the inside is gold with more gold trim, which does look nice with the posed up ones. Paint is very clean.

I like the way they did the kick effect where it's an array of energy splashes that you just will slide over the leg. Haven't seen anyone do that effect like that.

If you're already doing Jada and Storm, again, I wouldn't mix them. Six is also not a roster I would be complete on, but they have secured my interest for future cherry picks and other Capcom figures.

So I won't be grabbing Ryu, but I do have the classic version already paid out, and I look forward to more from this venture.

Edit: The waist and torso also pops apart very cleanly for swapping out the dress, and secures very satisfyingly. In fact, all the joints feel really great except for the ankle when you want to stand her.
