Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

That western box set would have been awesome. I would have wanted the Rawhide Kid as well.

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

That’s where I’m coming from as well. I just turned 59. While I don’t plan on retiring for another six years, six years will go by fast. 2019 seems like yesterday, and when I’m on a fixed income, I’ll be lucky if I can afford to buy a figure at Ollie’s.

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

The Storm Collectibles (proper) line is more in 1/10 scale, so they started a subline called Storm Arena that is in 1/12 scale and priced in the $25-$35 range. I don’t doubt that the creation of the line and the price point was heavily influenced by Jada, though.

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

I think I might have made the wrong impression. What I was trying to say, in the spirit of Renfield75’s post, is that I would be willing to pay a premium for limited production runs of certain characters that may not warrant a mass market release and/or would not be made otherwise. I’m not...

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

Don’t worry. The corporate machine isn’t listening and doesn’t care. 😉

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

I’d be fine with that as well…provided we were getting the characters and costumes we’ve been asking for ad nauseam. I’d have no problem forking over $50 for a well made and accessorized Namorita in her green swimsuit.

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

I’d love to go on the stereotypical rant about corporate greed, but I have a feeling that it’s closer to the truth to say that we’re ALL getting priced out of licensed mass market retail action figure lines, at least for the higher profile IPs. This includes customers, manufacturers, and...

Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

I thought I could pull the trigger when this preorder dropped,, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I really want that Punisher, but $70 shipped and yet another figure to dispose of (Nick Fury) just isn’t where my head is at with collecting right now. If I truly wanted both, I could probably...

    This, this, 1,000 x this.

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

I just looked up the platinum Dr. Mid-Nite. That is an embarrassingly bad representation of Pieter Cross.

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

No, I ordered him from BBTS.

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Ugh. $35 for a McFarlane figure, but Dr. Midnight is one of my favorite characters, and the figure does look good. I’m still left wishing they had put a little more effort into Hourman and Wildcat.

    Figma Video Game Figures

Byleth is the first figma I’ve preordered in ages. How badly out of scale is she?

    Mini Comic Wave 2

Those are the two I preordered. I never got into X-Force, I never read that Daredevil run/story arc, and I’m perfectly happy with the Surfer and gray Widow that I already have. Very good wave, though. This is more along the lines of what I’d like to see from Hasbro.

    General Marvel Legends

I never liked Gladiator as a character. One of my favorite books is the Lobdell/Madureira issue of X-Men where Cannonball knocked him out.

    General Marvel Legends

I’m just going to heat up the holster, slide it out of the way, take that white paint off with a little acetone, re-heat the holster, and slide it back on again. I know it’s accurate to the game, but I don’t really dig it.

    General Marvel Legends

2018-2019 was the apex of the line for me. Hasbro was releasing fan demanded characters and team builders faster than we could cross them off our want lists. That’s the one caveat I would toss out there when comparing the last few years. How many “new” characters were released in total vs...

    Marvel Legends Maximum Series

I’m with you. There’s nothing like getting a “First Time in the Line” figure and crossing that character off your want list. An upgrade, so matter how good, can rarely compete with that feeling. There are exceptions, like upgrading from Orange Cheeto Tigra to WCA Tigra, but they are few and...

    Marvel Legends Maximum Series

I’m weird, and I’ll be the first one to admit it. I only collect super posable figures, yet I rarely pose them. So innovations over and above the basic articulation that we’ve come to expect circa 2025 are often lost on me. I’m big on aesthetics, and in my Bizarro world, Husk is near...

    General Marvel Legends

I always felt that Sienkiewicz was very genre specific. I thought he was brilliant on Moon Knight where Moench was invoking a gritty and gothic vibe, but his pencils seemed out of place on more mainstream books.

    MAFEX Marvel Figures

My understanding is that if you chose EMS, your shipment will be on hold because Japan Post is involved. If it were to ship via Japan Post at some point in the next six months, Japan Post could chose to either prepare the customs paperwork and collect/remit the current 15% of value tariff or...

    S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

I’m somewhat surprised that the BBTS preorder continues to remain open. Usually they sell out very quickly as well. I know the price may be significantly higher, but I would have thought that FOMO and Tarriffpalooza would offset that.

    S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

I always seem to find a way to get what I want without paying secondary market prices, but it’s definitely taken some of the fun out of the hobby for me. I started ordering online because I was tired of “The Hunt”. Now ordering online is becoming a virtual version of “The Hunt”.
