Marvel Legends Gamerverse

So I have to say, this Cap is the perfect Ron Lim look. Great figure! Love the new boot cuffs sculpt.

Having said that, I definitley prefer the sculpted chainmail look, so if the Maximum rumor is correct, I'd like them to take this figure (love its upper body proportions), add the chainmail sculpt on top of it. I think I'd have my perfect Cap. Well, he'd need the movable neck like Max. Spidey, with a swappable flesh colored neck piece for both a FA Caps head sculpt, and an unmasked head sculpt. Oh, and upper torso movement right under the chainmail.
 
i would imagine a Maximum Captain America is a couple of years out. The Gamerverse one just came out. And a rerelease of the anniversary Cap went up for preorder. I think they’d want to wait a bit before offering a Maximum Cap. I. think Magneto and Thor will be the next Maximums.

Which feels so weird to me, but maybe it's my tastes. Cap is a Marvel mascot to me, but maybe he just isn't as cool as Thor to audiences.

Even the first Marvel Legends wave just hit with headliners. I hate the carrot on the stick approach Hasbro has.

This is my guess as well. Coipel Thor seems most likely to me. I want to believe in a Jim Lee Maximum Magneto that is everything I want it to be, but I'm bracing to have my heart broken. After those I don't know where they'd go, but Max Cap feels like a late 2026 release at earliest.
 
I placed a Target pick up order for Cap/Venom last night after store hours. Never seen them on the shelf, including yesterday morning, but they're ready for pick up, so they did have them. The sale + coupon got me. I was going to wait for a Max.

Same here. I was surprised they fulfilled it. I actually just picked up an extra Cap/Venom set at Walmart this week for full price, but I will most certainly be returning that.
 
Mine was fulfilled as well. They supposedly had 4, but none were on the shelf when I went in. Either they all sold or for some reason the set never made it out. They were in the midst of a lot of holiday stocking so it’s possible they just had yet to get to it.
 
Yeah, I was seeing if this was legit because that Wolverine outfit is so stupid. "Let's mix his first 2 outfits together. We'll call it an amalgam."
 
Audacious. They're relying almost entirely on MvC nostalgia to sell those. I bought a bunch of their Gamerverse figures despite having little connection to the games. I will not be buying those.
 
Those are hideous. The brand name on there-- which just sounds to me like some kid named Keith with a speech impediment trying to tell people his name-- just solidifies it. Meh.
 
Based on a quick wikipedia read - I suspect this will be very popular with the type of Intagramers who post videos of them holding Legends to very hard rap music. I definitely don't need Player 2 colored Legends. And I 100% don't need a Mega Man with a clothing company name across his chest. Kinda cool to have some official connection between Jada Capcom and Legends, though. I collect both so that's a win.
