Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Going back to my comment of 'with current engineering/style of Marvel Legends' - I don't think we really have anything like what you're describing in Marvel Legends. They don't really use reflective materials, unless I'm misremembering. So the closest we ever get to a mirror finish is silver paint like the new Surfer. I've never looked at Surfer side-by-side with War Machine to see if there's any significant upgrade to be had in that regard.

That being said, I like the body they used and don't want it to be any sleeker, I don't think. And a couple of extra gun attachments would never get me to pay Maximum prices to upgrade my Deluxe WM, although I'm totally fine if they did something like that for people that want it.

When I think “mirror finish” I’m thinking of the Stealth Iron Man that came out a few years ago

Personally I'm not that interested in a Maximum Magneto as it's hard for me to imagine it coming close to the Mafex figure. They did hint at a forcefield accessory a while back, though, and that could be tempting...

Agreed on deluxe War Machine being pretty fantastic as is. They really knocked him out of the park. I could see a Max release since he lends himself to so many accessories, but I'm all set on that armor - they'd really have to overhaul the articulation to tempt me.

I would buy a Maximum Magneto right. f******. now! I hope that happens, and I hope it's good when it does.

You prefer a rubber chest or breakaway bicep swivel pegs for $50-$60? So far Spiderman's the only one not actively falling apart from what I'm seeing, so I assume Black Costume Spidey will be the same McFarlane figure with most of the same accessories without light blue bottoms on his feet.

If Hasbro could deliver a Magneto ripped from the cover of X-Men #1 I'd probably pay the damn $50. Especially if it involves a wired cape (a big "if" for Hasbro).

I just had to look that up because I don't think I ever really clocked it before. That is VERY shiny looking. I wonder how they managed it. I don't think any other 'metal' character looks like that in ML. Certainly none of the IMs I've owned.

Yeah it’s super shiny. I’ve wanted Hasbro to put this exact shade of mirror obsidian blue on a symbiote Spidey or venom figure ever since this Iron Man came out. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It would mimic the highlights and shadows that we see on spider-man and venom in the pages of the comics so well. Hasbro needs to recreate that look stat. I’m getting sick of seeing symbiote figures in matte or satin black. And the Gamerverse venom was fine but the obsidian blue with the mirror finish would look way better

I mean short of making the armor a little sleeker, which would perhaps make the armor look more contemporary and evergreen. The only thing I’m thinking of is more weapons. Also I’m not a fan of the colors that the first two regular war machines had. He should look more reflective. I think a chrome and reflective gun metal would look brilliant on him. Not with any kind of Vac Metal but just high quality mirror finish

Making that armor sleeker is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. That's simply not the point of that armor, and typically not the point of War Machine in general.
