Marvel Legends Maximum Series

He has a lot of personality with the accessories and hands. And the sculpted bits on the suit make a difference.

He and sweatsuit Murdock just look really cool amongst all the recent Legends I've picked up, getting by on pure aura, as the youth say.
 
Still on the fence about this guy......

I like him well enough and max- spidey proved a Jumping on point for Marvel legends. Cost is a tough swallow.

Was any ETA announced for when the next Maximum will be announced? Maybe Toy Fair, I’m thinking.

Was it officially confirmed that Thor is the next Maximum figure?

Not confirmed by Hasbro but the two on the leaked lists right now are Thor and Black Suit Spider-Man. No idea which one will come first. It seems like it would be Thor since it feels like we've already gotten a lot of variations of Black Suit Spidey relatively recently.

Another one that hasn't appeared on a leaked list but seems likely to be coming soon is Magneto. I feel like Dwight has heavily hinted about him on a couple of different occasions now.
 
I would buy a Maximum Magneto right. f******. now! I hope that happens, and I hope it's good when it does.

I keep eagerly awaiting the Maximum Thor. I'm excited to see what he looks like.
 
I'm not a huge fan of the Maximum line thus far. And I would definitely skip a Coipel Thor as a Deluxe, at least until a discount. But it's been so hard to get a good Magneto figure in Legends that I would almost certainly pre-order that one.
 
I would love to see a Maximum War Machine and Iron man. Separate releases of course. But seeing the classic War Machine armor but decked out with cannons, interchangeable mini guns, rocket pods, wrist mounted weapons and lets not forget the various effect parts(or honestly even a rerelease of the Gamerverse War Machine with extra weapons would be dope. And it’s a nice looking figure)


As far as iron man goes I’d love to see the bleeding edge armor get some love in the maximum series. I know that armor is not everyone’s favorite cup of tea but it arguably had the most weaponry for a single suit and boy would that make for a hell of a shelf presence

The only thing that figure needs is an extra set of hands. Besides that, I really can't imagine, at the current engineering/style of Marvel Legends, how that figure could be any better.

I mean short of making the armor a little sleeker, which would perhaps make the armor look more contemporary and evergreen. The only thing I’m thinking of is more weapons. Also I’m not a fan of the colors that the first two regular war machines had. He should look more reflective. I think a chrome and reflective gun metal would look brilliant on him. Not with any kind of Vac Metal but just high quality mirror finish

Going back to my comment of 'with current engineering/style of Marvel Legends' - I don't think we really have anything like what you're describing in Marvel Legends. They don't really use reflective materials, unless I'm misremembering. So the closest we ever get to a mirror finish is silver paint like the new Surfer. I've never looked at Surfer side-by-side with War Machine to see if there's any significant upgrade to be had in that regard.

That being said, I like the body they used and don't want it to be any sleeker, I don't think. And a couple of extra gun attachments would never get me to pay Maximum prices to upgrade my Deluxe WM, although I'm totally fine if they did something like that for people that want it.
