Quitting/putting collecting on pause

I, too, liked a lot of the aforementioned women, but for completely different reasons. 🤪

Hard to remember who my first celeb crush was, but I definitely had some weird crushes on animated characters. Which I was happy to find out I wasn't the only one to do so a few years back.

And I wouldn't say this belongs in the relationship thread, per se. Didn't we all stop collecting at some point because we were trying to seem cool for our crushes? 😅

Re: Debbie Harry; since my parents got divorced ages ago, my Mom occasionally laments the fact that she wasn't/isn't gay, because she has a list of women she'd totally go for, and I think Debbie Harry and Joan Jett are at the top of the list. I keep telling her- it's never too late!

Amazingly no, despite showing a girl I was crushing on my room and having her response be, verbatim: "how would anybody have sex in here?"

Seriously, though, whenever that comes up, I can tell you firsthand that "The other women never had a problem" is not the answer they want to hear in the moment.

But it also seeds future potential, because now they know you've been in demand.

"Up against the Star Wars OT shelves, let me show you."

I can see it now- "Hey, baby, can I show you my Long-Snoot? You can give me a little Hammerhead until you're Walrus Face'd, at which point I'll tell Malakili to unleash the beast."

But in all seriousness- against the shelf, where we'd risk knocking something over and breaking?! Never! If there's no bed, we do it awkwardly on the floor in front of the shelves so they can all watch!

It's their fault for inquiring about toys in the bedroom without specifics.

In one of the early 90s Fox shows, Tea Leoni played a wild party type girl in NYC and begins a relationship with a nerdy live at home with the parents guy. He takes her back to his bedroom, she falls on his bed and lets out an "oww". When she sits up, she pulls out a Don Mattingly Starting Line-Up figure from behind her. Cute scene from a show that lasted a season and disappeared. Tea has had a nice career, but I think should've been a bigger star (married David Duchovny and did the family thing).
