General Marvel Legends

Hey look - Hasbro didn't forget! That's a lovely sculpt on Shanna.

Rogue is definitely coming at this point, so no use in buying multiple Shannas to make one.

Will people be mad if Shanna comes in a two-pack with Savage Land Rogue?

Needing some ideas for effects. All the GSXM on my shelf have effects except for Wolverine and Thunderbird. Any suggestionns? Those Mezco Wolvie effects work with Legends? I have no idea for Thunderbird.

On that topic - has anyone created any 1:12 scale effects for Wolverine's claws like the metallic half-circle from the X-Men Animated Series credits shot? I know Mondo did them, but anyone in 1:12?

Second Welsh Cat mention on this board in 12 hours. I referenced him in the Boss Fight thread last night.
Ha oh wow - I don't think I had seen your mention of him. What an impression he made to have such a legacy all these years later!

And also because they're just going to turn this into a Savage Land Rogue at some point, right?
I know my Savage Land Rogue, her skimpy, designed-by-men-for-men jungle attire is completely different than Shanna's designed-by-men-for-men jungle attire.

For starters, Rogue's top is the torn, tattered remains of not one, but two tops, her green corset that was formerly her Outback outfit, and a generic yellow X-Men t-shirt that she grabbed at random in her apartment when she emerged from the Siege Perilous completely naked in Uncanny X-Men #269 August 1990 masterfully drawn by Jim Lee (details seared into 12 year old me's brain). Two torn up tops...completely practical.

While Shanna has a freely hanging loin cloth, Rogue has (again) the remains of the bottom of her corset.

Rogue has a strip of cloth wrapped around her leg for a very good reason that we're too ignorant to know about because we've never been stuck in a dinosaur jungle. That's an easy overlay.

Shanna has some tall furry boots, Rogue has the smaller ankle-high boots.

Nope, if Hasbro doesn't want to phone in their scantly clad jungle babes, they need new sculpting for Savage Land Rogue.

I was just going to post that I didn't know why people were saying the Shanna guaranteed Savage L. Rogue, none of the pieces could be used accurately. You nailed it.
Shanna's fringe boot cuffs - who else do those work for?
Teela and Evil-Lyn.

I think Savage Land Rogue is coming. They should be able to reuse everything on Shanna from the knees up. The top, wrist wrap, and loincloth are all overlays. Rogue would require her own overlays for the top and glove cuffs, and new lower legs.

Marvel just gave Rogue a new Savage Land comic called Rogue: The Savage Land. Despite prior speculation that the costume is too risque, they're clearly happy to market it in 2025.

That's one way to put it.

If all of the pieces to make her would just be overlays, why would they need to reuse any thing from this figure? Couldn't they just reuse another buck in flesh tone?

Don’t have to reuse but every piece of reuse gets unit costs down and makes a figure more likely. Sculpting and mold production all would have savings.
