X-Force Archangel, Warpath & X-23

Norm I think you have your wings on wrong compared to the promo pics. They have the big wings in front and the smaller ones behind those.

But I think I like your way better because it hides the hinges on the bigger wings. I'm not sure what is actually comic accurate but don't really care.

The daggers are slightly annoying but I am enjoying the figure.

I switched the small wings after taking the pics, and it seems to make more sense and opens up more poses, but they’re still not very instinctual to pose in general.

Neither. I just don’t like the same character on drastically different bodies/physiques. It bothers me and I am aware that is a personal preference, but it exists. I hate when too many characters all share the same body, too. The oversaturation of Bucky cap is not solved by just oversaturating the Vulcan body.

I've been feeling this way lately. I think the Vulcan body is solid, but they're putting out way too many figures on it. Put a little variety into the standard male bucks for god's sake! I just don't think Cyclops, Count Nefaria, Brother Voodoo, and Vision (and a dozen other characters) should share the same body type. A slightly larger (either taller or just bulkier) and slightly smaller variation on the "standard male superhero" body would add a ton of variety.

Here's my Uncanny X-Force (ish) shelf. Really a catch all for any modern X-adjacent character in a gray, white or black suit.

I don't know if all of these grays are supposed to match but I'm just going to call this shelf 50 Shades of Gray because there are about that many.

Can anyone shed light on who truly should be on the Uncanny X-Force shelf? It's been a while and I never read too many issues.

Why is Archangel silver and Warpath and X-23 dark gray?

Looks like I will need to eventually split that shelf. Hopefully they do Wolfsbane, Vanisher, and Elixir in those looks. Is the Domino we have costume accurate for that era? And will the Wolverine work for either since he was on both or did the costume change up? Modern Marvel is not my forte.

The Domino we got from Sasquatch wave is perfect for the Kyle/Yost team.

Wolverine works with both, but really, the K/Y team should have silver details, not grey. And the grey used for UXF should be several shades lighter.

Archangel looks great. He’s sitting in my pile of loot at BBTS.

Also, didn’t realize Articulated Thoughts was on Tapatalk before this post. Very excited about that. Sharing photos in so much easier.

Sad to see the Fwoosh die off, but glad to find a similar community here.

Yeah, the flechettes fire downwards from the wings, so on the bottom edge. It's like he's shooting the feathers directly out. In the comics he can bend his wings upward or forward to shoot in front of him, but they usually fire "down".

There’s a ridge along the tops of the wings that prevents the blades from clipping on properly that way. Only way I can attach them is from the bottom tips of the large wings. Might work on the bottoms of the small wings too…

All the comic pics I can find of Archangel firing his wing blades show him firing them from the bottom. Not entirely sure how he's firing them in the second pic below, but it looks like the artist is showing that he did some kind of quick circular spin where the blades fired from the bottom.

Feathers do usually point backwards on birds, so I guess it makes sense.

I checked the Apocalypse movie where Archangel appeared, and even in that film he's shown flying right at the X-Men, but then he stops and flips forward to shoot his blades from the bottom of his wings as shown below. It's not really clear in the CGI where they're coming from aside from they're definitely not coming from the top.

Seems like the Legends team got the mechanics of the blades right.
