Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

I'm sure it was mentioned before but I would be down for the Stark Sentinels from the Krakoa era. I would love to have one at the same height as the X-Men 97 release (or larger).

Of course I would buy the Stark Sentinels. Perfect pairing with Mysterium Armor Iron Man!

I’d like a figure of Feilong as well. For Iron Man to beat up!

I always liked that turquoise and white sentinel from the X-Men episode One Man’s Worth Part 2. I think it’s based on the AOA look as many of the designs from that arc were. I could only find one pic though and the face is miss colored (as often happened with that show) but it gets the idea across. I’d never pay 200 bucks for such a thing, but it is a design I like.

Oh. My. Fuck.

So my Sentinel arrived today and, despite all the pictures, literal review videos, and in-hand accounts, I don't think I fully appreciated just how big this guy was going to be. My wife laughed out loud watching me carry this thing up the stairs like a misbehaving toddler. I have all kinds of display -ideas- for this guy, while simultaneously having no display areas in my home tall enough to accommodate him. Which I knew would be an issue before I placed the order, so it's not like I'm surprised.
But still... where the hell am I going to put this thing?

Size aside, it really is a beauty. Simultaneously pretty bang on for my mind's eye of the cartoon Sentinel, but also gives me the HARD nostalgia tug of reminding me of that old ToyBiz 5" line Sentinel. And I think the relative lack of detail and smoothness works just fine for a comic Sentinel as well. So this figure is really exactly what I have wanted from a Marvel Legends Sentinel since 2003. Love it.
I DO, like many others, wish it had come with a tentacle for mutant-capturing. I also would have loved a battle damaged arm/hand, but I'm guessing that would have required totally different engineering as I imagine based on his size and safety standards that making pop-and-swap parts for him would have been a whole thing.

Also should probably point out that the first thing I did with this toy is make it flip off my wife. Don't even pretend I'm alone here.

There are two types of collectors:

1) Those who want the thing but know they don't have anywhere to put it
2) Those who want the thing but know they don't have anywhere to put it and buy it anyway

There are also the Veebs/Justice collectors who know exactly where they'll put it, but we're all so jealous we don't count them.

So with the other Doomsday trailer that's making the rounds, I understand why Hasbro has invested in these quantities.

Probably not the actual order of operations. Still. They won't regret it.

The only Sentinels I saw in the "teaser" were in the AI assisted ones interpreting the actual teaser, and those looked somewhat like the Haslab. The actual teaser I saw was much shorter with only Prof. X, Magneto and Cyclops in it.

I was pleased with how Marsdenclops is finally getting to showcase the character (from the few seconds he appeared at least)

Let's gooooooooooo!

Well isn't he just marvellous? Solid and chunky and all round delightful. The only thing I'd change about him is including the grabby bendy tentacle thingy that the Haslab one had, otherwise he scratches my classic Sentinel itch perfectly.

I did myself so fuckin' dirty on this, too. I bought this giant chunk of plastic, and went on to pre-order a SnowCAT, an Arctic HISS, -and- a giant fuckin' Apocalypse. Because I'm an insane person.

There were vague shapes during the Cyclops part.

I opened one of my Sentinels over the holiday break, and it really is fantastic. After so so many years we finally have a bang-on classic comic Sentinel - really just couldn't be happier with how they turned out! The size is great - they're big and imposing, but smaller than the Haslab (thank god) and feel true to how I think of the Sentinels from the books. I didn't pay much attention to the battle damaged pieces but now that I have them I want a bunch more for variety, like others have said.

I have a lot of love for the other Sentinels I've acquired over the years, but this has me tempted to let them all go. At the very least, multiple BAFs, Haslabs, etc seem pointless now that there is a proper classic Sentinel in the mix.
