That's the perfect Sentinel. Now make me a 12" version.

I need to pull my haslab guy out since he's been boxed up since I moved to this apartment, but I sort of envision it as either a newer model amped up sentinel or a mini master mold to the smaller sentinels in the line. It would serve very well in that capacity. You kind of can't have a true MM at this scale because it would basically be person sized, but since they've got smaller sentinels a-plenty now, it probably works for that. The pics in this thread make it look a lot more compatible with the main line (not looking as "animated") than I expected. Slightly regretting not getting it now, but the pics at Marvelous News with it next to the HasLab version makes me also think I wouldn't like them together, as the HasLab isn't that much bigger than it to be MasterMold, and the styles/paint are different enough to not look great together.
But the nagging part is that if they had released this first, I'd have bought three and skipped the HasLab, as ultimately this is the more classic look.
I love this idea. I REALLY wish I had a 3d scanner & printer, as I'd add this to my display I have of the 80's era team. I saved the Sentinel bases that came with the old ToyBiz figures, and have those with this team. It would be really cool to sprinkle in a few more damaged Sentinel pieces here and there.I've been thinking about how to display the broken bits and it occurs to be I've got access to a 3d scanner. So I might just take it, scan the head minus all the pieces and print a "blank" to put the spare bits on to go into my display like the Haslab parts.
I almost did the same. I'm still running out of space until I get some more shelving, but I am happy I grabbed this guy.I passed on the '97 Sentinel thinking the Haslab was enough for me but now I have FOMO![]()
Sadly this is on mine, though nowhere near as bad, and I definitely have not been doing anything wild with the head. Seems to be an unfortunate case of the tolerances being a little tight and the chest piece being a harder plastic. I will say, if you hadn't posted this I wouldn't have noticed it on mine for years. The neck being a matte black makes it blend in unless you have it under hard light. Least on mine. That's the perfect Sentinel. Now make me a 12" version.

Very true. I think what I hope for is that a MvC Sentinel comes out (and I think that's more likely now than it's ever been with the success of the Gamerverse line). I think it would be the best match in terms of detailing and size if you make the Haslab a MM. The older BAF sentinel matches well in details, but the paint job on it was the reason I ultimately got rid of mine. It looked like it came out of a junkyard with all the washes.MasterMold gets drawn at all sorts of sizes, its hard to pin it down.
What's really cool about the Haslab sentinel heads, is since the lighting was in the neck, you can pop small LEDs into them and have them light up separately. In fact one of the things I'll be 3d pritning before the new year is a stand I found on Printables that is made for exactly that. It's basically a spare head display. The creator even gave the paint recipe he used to get them to match the paint on it.I love this idea. Not a knock at all, but this doesn't bother me in the least. In fact, I like it. Just like cars have different makes and models made by different companies, I just picture the same for the Sentinels.Slightly regretting not getting it now, but the pics at Marvelous News with it next to the HasLab version makes me also think I wouldn't like them together,
Nimrod's a time-traveler after all. Decades of mutant hunting baddies are at his disposal.I've got a display with all the 90's X-groups fighting all the Sentinels made (plus reavers). Like all the Sentinels from all timlines and era's got sent there to wipe out the mutant skurge!
Two more would be 440 plus tax. I don't have room I don't have room I don't have room I don't have roomThe Sentinel is in stock on Pulse.
You can't buy just 1 of an army builder and still retain your spiffy subnic. Two more would be 440 plus tax. I don't have room I don't have room I don't have room I don't have room
If that's all it takes to get rid of that subnic, I can definitely pass on more Sentinels. You can't buy just 1 of an army builder and still retain your spiffy subnic.
