Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

I haven't had my bank do this to Pulse, but they do it virtually every time I try to order from Japan no matter how many times I've ordered there before. I've started using PayPal whenever I think they might do it since they never seem to mind PayPal charging whatever amount. If you've ordered from a place many times before I really don't get these auto-denials. My partner and I both have the same bank, and we've both had our bank deny parking meter charges in our home city with makes NO sense.

Both of mine shipped this afternoon. I promptly changed both to be picked up from my nearest Walgreens without issue.

I could have gone through PayPal but I only have one card on there for a moment that does t have as big of a credit limit as my primary card so I mostly use it for either emergencies or to help pay for bits of custom fodder here and there

I received one of two today, which is weird since I got the shipment notification at the exact same time for both. They were separate orders but weird that one arrived today and one didn't. Unfortunately I have to be away tomorrow so will have to redirect the second one to Walgreens.

Mine was shipped from Romeoville, Illinois yesterday and I'm in Iowa. One day is pretty quick even for one state over, but it's weird that two shipped at the same time and only one arrived today.

However I also had a situation earlier this week where I got a notice from McFarlane Toy Store and it arrived the same day that I got the shipping notice. They're in North Las Vegas, so I think that there's some manipulation going on with the shipping notification emails. LOL!

Just opened my Sentinel. Initial observations are that he feels more lightweight than the HasLab, but not less sturdy. He’s far less cumbersome. Even more agile. Articulation ratchets plenty, but doesn’t impede movement. In general, I think it’s better designed than the HasLab. I plan to keep this with a classic set of X-Men, more of a Bronze Age team than the ‘97 it’s meant for. Really dig it, but I could not do multiples at this price.

Mine's out for delivery and should land around the time I get off work. So I'll have robot death machines with dinner.

I've been thinking about how to display the broken bits and it occurs to be I've got access to a 3d scanner. So I might just take it, scan the head minus all the pieces and print a "blank" to put the spare bits on to go into my display like the Haslab parts.

Yep. This is definitely a Sentinel. Something I'll say, the proportions on this guy are great. And I think in my mind's eye the head was a lot bigger than it feels in person. Like, not that he feels small, he absolutely doesn't. He's still a big fucker, but the face proportions are such that the animated detailing feels a bit less cartoony to me in person. I think this'll fit fine on a comic shelf for my purposes.

OK, this Sentinel is NICE! Love the ratcheted legs, and blast effects. The perfect retro sculp. If Hasbro hadn't jacked up the price $45, I'd get another one (or 2). But I've got 2 Haslabs, so I'm good.

I have zero problem fitting this in with non-cartoon figures. It's a giant robot designed and painted this way. Really pleased with it.

Real good, right?

This actually makes me more hyped for Apocalypse and now I'm really glad I went in on him.

Extremeley good!

I almost skipped Apocalypse, but in the end, couldn't. You're right, the quality of this really makes me happy I didn't.

Sentinel one of two came today. It’s the best Sentinel figure ever released in my opinion. It’s what I’ve been waiting for for 30 years. Works great for both animated and classic looks.

It’s also surprisingly lightweight, which I mean in a good way.

Now I have to figure out where I can put a diorama with this and the ‘97 figures!

hmmm alright because I'm 30 minutes away from Romeoville so I'm now wondering if Hasbro opened a warehouse over there
it is also a major FedEx hub so I'm somewhat perplexed about the timing
