I'm not sure where to post this but its kind of marvel related so... I just recently shipped my PoL from BBTS, and most of the stuff came in just fine. But the Ghost Rider bike did not. The pics will be below. I open most of my figures, so this doesn't completely piss me off. But I am a little sad about it. Not sure why. Everything seems to be in there. The shipping box was fine, everything else was fine besides a couple bent backcards I could give a shit less about. It was wrapped in bubble wrap. The order also said standard packaging, not substandard, I double checked. And I got it on sale. I was wondering if I should email them about it or not. I don't wanna raise a big to do about it since I'm opening it anyway, but maybe they should know? I don't know. I feel kinda bad emailing them about this. I have only had 2 other issues with anything I got from them and they were really accommodating, and those I was never like "is this worth it?" But I don't know if this is. Again, gonna open it at some point anyway. Just piecmealing the figures I got from them from the last month. I kinda would like some opinions. I honestly really don't like making a big deal out of something that may not be.

I've ordered substandard before from them and it has looked better than that. I feel like that should have been discounted a bit if it was like that before they shipped it.

I donno, if you're gonna open it anyway? I'd just leave it alone. I'm sure an email couldn't hurt, if you're just trying to bring awareness to them. Also if it was on sale (Deal of the day?), I don't know if they'll discount it further.

I think its still on sale. It wasn't long ago, but I don't remember if it was deal of the day or not.

Just go with your gut. Me, I'd probably just leave it, especially if I was opening it anyway. However, it couldn't hurt to just send a gently worded email, especially if you're not expecting anything in return- discount, refund, etc. They may not even do anything about it beyond a pre-written response email. On the other hand, it could have been anything- miscommunication, employee having a bad day, what have you, and your email could, at the very least, bring some awareness to things; best case scenario you save someone else's future shipment.

Sorry it happened to you regardless! I'm an opener 95% of the time, but even still, when I get beat up cards or boxes, there's still that part of me that's a little bummed. It's weird.

Honestly, since I'm an opener, I wouldn't give it a 2nd thought. I'll, at best, give most packaging a quick look around for the art, then open it and toss the packaging right back in the shipping box to get recycled.

I'd open it up right away to be certain it's fine and if there's nothing wrong with the contents then I wouldn't take it any further. The box sacrificed itself so your Ghost Rider and motorcycle arrived as intended. It did its job.

That's seems very shoddy. I might give them a one time pass if that was my package, but I think complaining would be completely acceptable.

If this is an investment piece that you intended to keep in the box, you’ve every right to bring bit to their attention.
If you plan to open it anyway, and the contents are fine, then it’s not as important. It still wouldn’t hurt to contact them, and include those pics.
You might check the original order (if you can) and make sure there are no notations on the condition of the merchandise prior to purchase.

But if you were in a S&M store, er, B&M store and saw the price slashed on a damaged package like that, and the goods inside were still fine, would you get it, or pay full price for a better box?
