I'm an opener too, I guess I'd just let this go.
I usually will deliberately grab the box that is damaged if the contents are okay, since I know I'm throwing the packaging right in the recycle bin as soon as I get home. I'd rather the mint box go to someone who cares about such things, honestly. Now, if the box is REALLY damaged, I might try to get a little bit of a discount if it's a store where I know they will sometimes do that, but that's about it (and that's just me trying to save a buck...I'd still wind up buying it if it's a figure I really want). But if you were in a S&M store, er, B&M store and saw the price slashed on a damaged package like that, and the goods inside were still fine, would you get it, or pay full price for a better box?
I open most of my figures, so this doesn't completely piss me off.
This is more my concern. And as has been stated, preventing it from happening to future shipments for people who do keep their stuff in package. So I ended up sending the email. I wasn't mean or angry in it. Just let them know it happened so it can be avoided later hopefully.I think Trunks is also wondering if BBTS needs to know that stuff is being shipped out this way. I get wound up about that type of thing myself: you want to inform a BBTS that they shipped out a damaged product, but you're not sure if they'll even care.
It's an exhausting moral dilemma when you care more than the people who actually have a stake in the thing.
