HIYA TOYS Godzilla

Yeah these have been notoriously delayed. But I’m starting to think that irrespective of the whole Tarrif situation and the revocation of the De Minimus requirement, these still would have been delayed. Remember G-91 was solicited back in Feb 2024 and was slated for a Q4 2024 release if you imported or lived in China, HK, Taiwan etc…. And yet it didn’t even hit China until June of this year. And it had nothing to do with the correction on the eye paint, that came later. There was from what I recall a change to the design of the lower legs that should have made them look less gappy around the knee joints and that could have accounted for some of the delays. Everything is definitely messed up post international trade war but I have a feeling that this line is going to see its fair share of hiccups no matter what the crisis du jour is.

I think Hiya in general is having issues. Trek figures seemingly cancelled. Announcing the Breaking Bad license, then going radio silent on those. Robocop figure delayed for going on 4 years now.

Meh.
 
Good news, certainly hope nothing falls through the cracks though. I'd like to know sooner rather than later if I'm gonna have to scramble for something that BBTS isn't going to be getting all of a sudden.
 
This is good news. So glad that Hiya is relying on their own distribution wings to support their retail partners worldwide. I was so nervous this Godzilla line was going to die on the vine due to all of this chaos that occurred here and overseas. This might make prices cheaper now because it’s all direct to market

I heard back from Hiya toys and they said this other shipment notice from the same FedEx depot is not one of theirs but the first box was. The tricky part I can’t figure out is that both of these tracking numbers were filed into the system and sent to me on the same day, from what appeared to be the same supplier and the depot had the same address but Hiya only claimed responsibility for the first delivery. So it’s possible that this other box is nothing more than a glitch or an odd coincidence. Either way I’m going to prove further and try and get to the bottom of this mystery and based on our last correspondence, Hiya seems to be willing to help.

All I know is I wish someone would randomly ship ME a Hiya Godzilla that I didn't have to pay for! You should buy a lotto ticket, man!

Yeah I mean I can appreciate that you guys are on the other side of the fence thinking that all of these random packages from Hiya are a gift from God and surely no harm can come from this. In the meantime I’m over here sweating that I’m about to be hit with de minimus payments and tariffs on a half a dozen different import items that could show up at my house if this doesn’t slow down or stop all together

I totally get that...and like I said, that is EXACTLY the kind of luck I would have with it. I definitely can understand why you'd be nervous about the whole thing. The whole "if it seems to good to be true..." rule at work, and all that.

Bingo. I’m just waiting with bated breath that my cup don’t runneth over and spill all over my checking account. Especially since in just a few short weeks I have 5 of the X-Men 97 Sentinels arriving on my doorstep
