G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Poll - #18 Daina (Oktober Guard)

I swear I'll go to my grave not understanding Ice Cream Soldier. Once again, I wonder how much coke was being used recreationally at toy companies in the 80s.

The Tomahawk is probably the only vehicle I'd be really tempted to try and figure out how to afford. I already know I'd hang it from the ceiling with a bunch of guys in it. But either way, I really want a Lift Ticket. AND I want Freestyle, the female Night Force pilot I recently learned existed.
I got the Dragonfly assuming we'd n ever get the Tomahawk, which is, as you say, the one giant vehicle I'd be tempted even though it'd be insanely expensive. But because I love the Tomahawk, I do want Lift Ticket, and would happily get him as a standalone/retro carded figure instead just to have him.

There aren't many vehicles I NEED at this scale, but would still want the driver/pilot.

We talked about the locust too, which could be a nice $100 vehicle since I assume they'll spruce it up a bit, but I could see Lift Ticket coming with that instead.

If they’re gonna give us a vehicle, no matter the size or class, if it originally came with a named pilot, they better come together!

Does it have to be vintage only because Lift Ticket came with a version of the Sky Hawk in 2009.

The original Sky Hawk did not come with a pilot, right? Cos I'd bite on this set. And honestly if they ever go balls to the walls and do a Tomahawk just do a night force Lift Ticket instead.

Right on the original lack of pilot, and that's and idea I can get behind. Though, I know this is blasphemy, but I'd like that Retaliation version more.

And really, if they asked me exactly what I would like, it would be something a little more black hawk shaped, but with wings and VTOL style rather than rotors, maybe like a black hawk if Jim Cameron designed it. Not full on Colonial Marine Drop ship, but in the direction. That is something that would get me to be a regular at the blood donation center.

Nothing against that design, but I'll keep the old one a) cos it'll fit on the shelf better! and b) I love that if you look at it long enough it's like: there is no way this fuckin' thing actually works.

Absolutely yes to Ice Cream Soldier! Loved that original figure. His armor looks so cool. Like bulked up Scout Trooper but in wacky colors. He was one of my favorite later Joe figures.

Whew, He’s come a long way since his days with the Easy Company. Sgt Rock would be proud.
He’s not a priority for me, though, particularly since we just got Blowtorch.
I just breezed Sgt Rock's wiki and found this. Joe relevant.

In the graphic novel Between Hell and a Hard Place, Sgt. Rock explained that he gave nicknames to Easy Company men because during battle, they would be required to do things their civilian identities might not be able to live with; once the war was over, the nicknames could be left behind once the soldiers resumed their civilian lives.
