I will take Ace and I'll make a controversial comment and say ditch his vintage "space suit" look completely and put him in realistic fighter jock gear. Alt head with some aviator sunglasses. "Hiiiiigh waaaaay to the danger zone!"

Just so you guys know, the list I put together for this thread is 850-something names now, and yes some of those are repeat characters in different outfits. And I mean different outfits, not just the 25th anniversary version of the 1983 figure etc. For Ace, I think I have four more versions.

Yeah, to be clear, I *do* want all the vehicle drivers, whether or not we get the vehicle they drive.
So we definitely need Ace, and in a couple different looks as well.

That is how they could sell Ace to me. Ditch the puffy flight suit.

And for the record, @Chooch555 had his own list he was kind enough to share with me, and it definitely had several I hadn't found yet. Maybe twenty, at least. Some of those... I'm not sure I'll be able to find pictures of but I'll try damnit. If nothing else, for comic characters I can try to scan some of the panels if need be.

Yeah, there were 3 guys from the Chuck Dixon run that showed up to die in darkly lit panels IIRC. Not everyone needs a figure. But Cool Breeze does!

I went into 6" GI Joe and Star Wars with the understanding that the scale foregoes me ever getting vehicles aside from the motorcycle/speeder bike-type stuff. I'm fine with that. I'll still take drivers, though. I'll take an Ace just like I'd take an X-Wing pilot Luke.

Honestly, it’s a relief to get some of the drivers without their vehicles. As a kid I always wanted the drivers but rarely actually *needed* the vehicles they came with, like I’d take the vehicles but I’d really be just as happy having the figures. I loved when they offered mail-order drivers back in the day.

Right.... though a lot of the later drivers I'm totally cool with them never doing in Classified, even the Cobra ones.

That was one thing about Visionaries that bothered me was how necessary they made the drivers feel... and the vehicles were certainly neat but if they'd offered the figures on their own, I would have been on it. I'm also glad to have people like Zartan and Darklon without even the smaller vehicles.

Oh, Covergirl is another one they did without a vehicle, thankfully.

Thrasher would be great to have, but I’d take him with the Thunder Machine anyway. Zanzibar is one I wouldn’t need the vehicle for. I don’t need Cross Country. Don’t really need Tollbooth. Not that attached to Lift Ticket. I hope they single card Iron Grenadier Destro without having to release the vehicle he came with. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

The Tomahawk is probably the only vehicle I'd be really tempted to try and figure out how to afford. I already know I'd hang it from the ceiling with a bunch of guys in it. But either way, I really want a Lift Ticket. AND I want Freestyle, the female Night Force pilot I recently learned existed.

Whew, He’s come a long way since his days with the Easy Company. Sgt Rock would be proud.
He’s not a priority for me, though, particularly since we just got Blowtorch.
