Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Got Yelena, Red Guardian, Sentry, and U.S.Agent, and they’re all excellent. Love the head sculpts, and the details on the costumes are so nice. Finally Yelena actually looks accurate! Beautiful likeness.

Got the two two packs yesterday as well and they really did top-shelf work with these guys. The head sculpts are so spot on, the quality of range of motion, even finally getting some Classified style ability to pop gear into holsters for Red Guardian and Yelena (who could legit hang with Classified-level work--I may have her hanging out on that shelf as a spy right now). I arguably have too many RG and Yelena figures at this point but they just keep getting better and these two are pretty definitive. My only complaint is I can't decide if I want to leave RG in punch-y mode or shoot-y mode.

John's gun being sculpted onto his hip and not useable is mildly annoying but also feels like meta-joke, like even the team knows you can't trust USAgent with a firearm.
 
I got Yelena/Red Guardian and ordered Sentry loose on eBay so I have the ones I want. These are great figures for sure. I don't really need the rest of the team but I do want Val.
 
The more I mess with Red Guardian the more annoyed I am that he's always played so jokey in the MCU, cos the figure is so well done, so poseable, and he looks like he's seen ten miles of bad road, like I want to use him as an alternate timeline Alexei where he's more badass than punchline.

I mean, he's charmingly silly and heartfelt in the films but this is an ACTION figure. I've got him hanging out with Polar Bear Escape Snake Eyes right now.
 
Titan Series will make a great stand in for an MCU Galac - patiently waiting for the Amazon order to arrive!

I must admit I am not the biggest fan of oversized figs - I think they are too clunky, take up too much space and are always too overpriced. This Titan Series makes me much more excited and is MUCH cheaper and MORE articulated than the Hot Toys I was planning to purchase.

Smiles all round! Also - give us an Arishem this way please.
 
I'm kinda tempted by the Daredevil mask. It really- Ah fuck it, nevermind!

Wow - that Daredevil reveal today will TOTALLY join my collection as a placeholder for a Netflix season 1 Daredevil black costume! Cannot wait!
 
Except that chest is so BIG. Whoever is under that won't work for an MCU look.

I'm really wondering what happened to Deadpool & Wolverine Wave 2. Did this get cancelled because of the lawsuit? Did it get pushed so we have some MCU stuff in early 2026? Did it get dismantled and shifted because of Doomsday? Feels like a lot of money they are letting get very fallow.

Anyone know what's going on and care to share? Or if the rumored D+ wave is ever surfacing?

Also, Deluxe Bastion. So much X-goodness today but nada on him and 97 Beast. Hopefully still coming SOON.

And still no Invisible Sue or HERBIE! SUCH a weird oversight, especially with the 4" coming. That's clearly a paint savings in that pack, but... I want one.

I have zero insider knowledge, but considering how long it took after No Way Home to get that full wave, I'd say we're still on track for D&W wave 2. It doesn't seem to include Nicepool, so I think it would be unaffected by the lawsuits anyway. They're the ones I'm expecting to see most at NYCC, so maybe by the end of the year or early next year we'll have them in hand? The next MCU theatrical movie isn't until next July, so plenty of time to get out a wave.

Unless plans have changed, if the leaks are to be believed, we'll get invisible Sue and Herbie next year in the Doomsday releases (to be fair, I don't remember if they said she was invisible or not, but another Sue is coming). Not together, though- I think the rumor is that Herbie comes with Reed, and Sue will be in a 2 pack with Johnny (and Franklin). I don't necessarily expect those to be revealed at NYCC- maybe not until NYCC of next year, if it still releases in December.

The one rumor I think I'm most bummed about having not come to fruition is that Fox X Men wave. I suppose it could still happen a bit closer to Doomsday, but doesn't seem likely. But hey, you never know.

I think we're all eagerly awaiting news on anything at this point. With a little under a year until the next MCU movie, there's plenty of time for them to play catch-up a bit.

Agreed on eagerly awaiting news, and about the catch-up, but I'm feeling pretty cynical about that these days. A second Deadpool wave feels the most likely to me, but anything else will be a very pleasant surprise.

Or could even happen after Doomsday. If their appearance in that movie is one of those "Oh man, that was the best part" things, and the movie makes a ton of money, maybe Hasbro will feel more justified in putting that wave out. Or doing that wave if the rumor was bogus in the first place.
 
I think the wave may have been real but the characters' inclusion in Doomsday caught Hasbro by surprise and the plan got shifted.

I also wonder if Doomsday is what shifted/cancelled the D+ wave IF that was real. Loki's inclusion in the movie means he can shift and he was the biggest name in that wave (ignoring DD and Punisher who may or may not have ever been part of said mystery wave).

I sure hope we se D&W Wave 2 soon. I want all the main characters but I *really* just want a good Jennifer Garner.

I have the figure from the Super Skrull wave and have always felt he really passes for a person in a costume rather than something out of a comic book. Nothing against the comic figures, but I want my figures to look like something on a movie screen (why some of the video game figures work for me too). And the cloth parts are definitely more ornate, but he really doesn't look at that different from the figure I already have. If I didn't have that, I'd be ALL OVER this, but as it it now... I'm trying to talk myself into skipping the Doom and keeping what I have. He still looks great on the shelf with Fassbender, Majors, and Molina.
