Tracking toy tariffs

Printed Circuit Boards. These guys are saying they need to determine the amount and type of metal on a board or they pay 100% tariff? This is hard to believe. Someone must be misinterpreting the rules or the rules were written by a complete idiot.

yes HTS are made to determine which product how is taxed, except that US government introduced this section 322 and quote hundreds of HTS codes which should be taxed for the content of Aluminum in the products

Same for copper and steel

Navarro says blocking tariffs would be ‘the end of the United States’​

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said Sunday “it will be the end of the United States” if Trump’s global tariffs are ultimately blocked by the Supreme Court.

“This was weaponized partisan injustice at its worst,” Navarro said in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Navarro echoed Trump’s critical comments after a federal appeals court on Friday ruled that most of the sweeping global tariffs were unlawful.

“So it was a bad decision. But the good news is the dissent was very, very strong. I think it provides a very clear road map to how the Supreme Court can certainly rule in our favor,” he added.

“We feel very optimistic. If we lose the case. President Trump is right. It will be the end for the United States,” he said.

Trump later Sunday reiterated his claim on his social media platform, saying that without tariffs, “our Country would be completely destroyed, and our military power would be instantly obliterated.”

:cautious:You mean gutting the government already didn't destroy it? What a moron! Tariffs are definitely the end of a lot of small businesses.
 
I haven't imported anything in months due to all of the uncertainty and the added fees, but I was surfing a few sites this morning and said to hell with it - found a few sales I couldn't pass up.

Pardon my ignorance, I grew up in a small town and we didn't have classes that taught us how to adult, let alone how to adult in a Trump society. I know how the tariff fees are working, and those are added up front, so I'm good on that. But with de minimus gone, how are the fees ($80 and up, right?) being collected? I ordered from Gundamit, and it's been a while since I've bought from them but whatever service they use (still listed as 'free' on their site) typically hands over to USPS once it clears customs. Is this one of those cases where USPS will charge me when I pick it up at the post office? Or am I charged directly from customs (that seems over complicated)?

If I ordered from China or Japan and it was arriving UPS, does UPS charge me at my door? Send me an invoice later?

Sorry again for the ignorance, but I do appreciate in advance for the education.
 
Just had my first import tariff situation with DHL. I paid an extra $39 for the Amazing Yamaguchi Himiko Toga from Hobby Genki.

I almost bought that one. I know nothing about My Hero Academy, but I thought she looked cute. I did get the one with the muscular thighs and rabbit ears.

Buying random anime girls has gotten more expensive.
