Marvel Legends Gamerverse

The War Machine Omega Red set came yesterday and I like it more than I thought I would. The new pieces on both figures are an improvement in my eyes. I sort of wish we'd gotten the black legs on War Machine, and as always I wish these were completely pinless. It's not a huge deal but they're so close, and half pinless feels weird.

Really enjoying the MvC sets so far. Looking forward to the rest.

There's a billion spider-people out in the multiverse who surely have their own symbiote adventures. Maybe this guy was bonded to Web-Man or something.

Ummm….not to play devils advocate here, but wouldn’t Capcom venom be amongst the billions of alternate spider-people?

After all, Morlun killed Capcom Spidey in the first Spider-Verse story so venom probably exists too, right?

Basically what I was thinking. I didn't realize MvC Spidey was an official thing in the comics (though in retrospect I should have). An alt Venom, an alt symbiote, either works.

The nice thing about superhero displays is between time travel and alt realities you can always have a working head cannon. Whenever I finally get my Sentinel factory dio going, if folks ask why all these contrasting, canonically distinct death robots are in one place, the answer is at least one of those Sentinels is a time/reality jumper and he started grabbing reinforcements wherever he could.

Chris Claremont had various members of the X-Men using "fuzzy-elf" as his nickname for many years. Here's an example below of Kitty calling him that. The version of Kurt below is being controlled by Belasco in his realm after he stole Illyana Rasputin who becomes Magik during this story.

Even Beast (mostly in the 90s) just gets tufts at the calves and cheeks and forearms. Comic artists gotta draw for deadlines. They're fuzzy.

I was just looking for a good explanation that makes sense. And it does. Multiverse versions exist. I should've thought of that myself. Like I said, wasn't trying to be mean. Just curious.

One of the things I think was kinda cool about Krakoa X-Men is they treated different eras of costume like a full wardrobe for the characters. While that's probably confusing for a new reader, it makes sense that, after you've done a costume swap or twenty (looking at you, Kitty Pryde) it just becomes "what supersuit do I wear today"? They do that a little with Spider-Man depending on the run, and obviously Iron Man gets loads of mileage out of his suits, but I like that it's sort of just becoming part of the comic canon that sometimes heroes change clothes. For a character like Venom where his look is pretty notional anyway, I can see a lot of variance being justifiable.

It’s honestly kind of surprising that the venom suit doesn’t go through more metamorphosis than is presented in the comics obviously. You’d think that the very nature of the suit would do more than just keep a consistent look with the host it was bonded too. I know that when Gargan possessed the venom suit it either looked like a basic black costume, then he had his civil war and thunderbolts look, then he had the occasional scorpion tail, and for no reason whatsoever it occasionally looked like eddies version of the symbiote. But I’m kind of surprised that the symbiote decided to suddenly become quadrupedal as its next evolutionary state. They could literally go full xenomorph with the symbiotes if they choose to but even symbiotes that have never bonded with a spider person has the same basic traits and it’s extremely boring
