There's a variation of the War Machine armor from his first solo series that more closes resembles some of the details of this figure, just not in blue though. Look at the shoulders, gauntlets, chest, and belt, along with the single shoulder mounted weapon. The figure would suffer the same problems that it currently does against the capcom art though, with the legs being wrong.

Gotta say, the reviews are saving me a lot of money. The first ones showed Wolverine is too large for my liking and I really didn't need another Silver Samurai, so cancelled the order. Reviews of Captain America and Venom show Cap has a lot more re-use than I thought and again, don't care about Venom, so it's been cancelled as well. Sorry Hasbro, but my days of paying premium prices for non-premium made figures is done. I'll spend my $120 elsewhere.
 
Yeah I think Hasbro has done a nice job finding that balance between a color that is shimmering gold and a shiny yellow. It occupies both worlds nicely. Probably the best example thus far is the Iron Man 2020 figure

I like Iron Man figures of armors from first appearance to NeoClassic to be that metallic yellow, or even gloss yellow. Anything from Pentagon/Extremis works better in a more muted gold. At least for my collection. I do like the solid gloss yellow on the classic armors, that doesn’t look wrong to me. But metallic gold doesn’t look wrong either. Even the figures seem to be open to depicting it multiple ways.
 
Got my War Machine/Omega Red yesterday. War Machine will be making his way to a happy home with somebody here on the forums as I'm quite happy with my Deluxe, but I'm pretty happy with Omega Red. Only thing I sort of want is a more whip-like tentacle. That said, these tentacles were clearly made with entangling other figures in mind, and they seem to work well for that. There's a very subtle texture (sort of paper-y, barely noticeable) on his white parts that I like. Feels right for him.

Why don’t we have an angry react on posts?

As much as I like jabbing Resilient on the matter, I totally get wanting him in yellow and Hasbro seems to have figured out the simplest solution: just release them all twice. Iron Man’ s popular enough to pump out gold and yellows versions of all those classic armors and make everyone happy.

Although I’m still waiting on my gold Neo Classic armor.

I mean it’s not the same body but technically the gold version came out first in 2017
