Born and raised in Carbondale, IL, Redline grew up surrounded by freight trains, college kids, and the roar of the local dirt track. Her father ran a small auto shop off Route 13, where she was rebuilding pick up trucks and dirt bikes before she could legally drive. A year of university in Chicago didn't suit her, but her mechanical instincts and fearless attitude made her a natural fit for the Army's Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic program, where she earned a reputation for fixing anything with wheels... often faster than the training and manual said was possible. Not content to sit in a garage, she cross-trained as a Motor Transport Operator, mastering tactical driving under fire and convoy logistics in hostile terrain.
Redline's dual expertise made her invaluable during a high-risk extraction mission in the Middle East, where she repaired a MRAP under fire, then drove it through the minefield to rescue a pinned down squad. Her battlefield composure, grit, and technical skill earned her a fast track to the GI Joe team, where she serves as the lead motor pool specialist and combat driver. It doesn't matter if Redline is tearing down engines or tearing apart Cobra convoys, she shows that horsepower and heroism go hand in hand.
"Redline's the reason the motor pool runs like clockwork. And the reason the enemy runs like hell. If she's driving, I'm riding."

Loosely inspire by someone I knew in basic who wanted to be an MTO in Afghanistan/Iraq at the peak, and a good ol' country girl I knew.
Drill sergeant: "Let me get this straight, you signed a contract to drive a shiny, heavy tanker filled with gasoline - flammable, explosive gasoline - right through that open desert or rocky canyons where they got IEDs and RPGs."
Kid: "Yes, Drill Sergeant."
DS, walking away shaking his head: "Every cycle I find the next dumbest son of a bitch."
